Walked here after visiting pooles cavern. Can be quite windy but get a nice view over Buxton and its not too far to go even if you dont like walking.

“Great Views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2012

It was a great way to start our 12 mile circular walk of the Goyt Valley. Easily accessible on foot from Buxton via the Poole Cavern and Country Park and gives lovely views of the surrounding area. Continue on then via the Caravan Site/Car Park and Dane Valley Way to the Goyt Valley Walk and return via the dismantled railway and Bishop's Walk.

“Worth the walk!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2012

A bit of a walk to get there....obviously up a few steep inclines, but worth the effort!
It's very beautiful once you get up there, and the walk up is pretty too!
It's a bit too far to walk from town so would recommend you go in the car.

You can also tie your visit in with a trip to pooles cavern as they share the same car park.

There is an old kiln there too.....but it's really a small hill and a signpost, so it is a case of walking to see it and then just walking back!

Only thing missing is something explaining the temple & it's purpose when you get there, so have a read about it before you go!
