“great venue.”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

Stopped here on Monday evening as part of a work event. Stayed in the Grange, but had a presentation and feedback session in Crucked Barn which was fantastic.

Everyone really enjoyed the venue. Unique and gave us the opportunity to mix work with pleasure.

30 of us stayed Tuesday to Friday and we rented all the buildings. The location, and facilities are superb. All staff were very friendly and helpful . Our group meal in a private room at the Royal Oak was of very high quality and excellently served. It was not a set meal. Congratulations and thanks to the chef and staff for offering us such an extensive menu .We would highly recommend Hurdlow Grange and would love to return.

We were a stag group of 24 people and had a fantastic time. The dining area is great for a large party, the pool table, darts board, table tennis and table football are all kept in great condition and the accomodation high quality. Thanks to the Hurdlow team for making us feel so welcome and helping us have such a fantastic time.

In our case it was our golden wedding anniversary. Close family and friends came from near and far, and we all had a most wonderful time.

The company was lively. The wine was flowing. The caterers for the main lunch did a brilliant job: And Hurdlow Grange itself made the long week-end. We occupied all five beautiful houses, and reports about them from everybody - absolutely everybody - were glowing. The accommodation was classy, it was warm (inside, that is!), it was comfortable, it was spotless, and excellently presented.

When it came to going home, we could hardly wrench the teenagers and the kids from the two play areas (pool, ping-pong, mechanical football - whatever). It was fun from Friday to Monday. For everybody.

The views are superb, and the walking must be out of this world (not that we ventured far this time, though, for the partying scarecely stopped(.

We - 28 of us - had lunch on the Sunday at the prize-winning Royal Oak. We easily understood why it is prize-winning. The staff were friendly, patient, and noise-proof.

It all made my wife and I eager to get back there for our diamond wedding anniversary. But I know we will not be leaving it that long before going back there again.

Fantastic place, Paul. You deserve to be fully occupied as often as you want to be.

Thank you!

Room Tip: All of them are exceptional. The Grange is the big house (sleeps 14, all en suite). But the quality...

We stayed here for a work conference and used the Oak. The organisers made everything easy, were very helpful and hospitable and the food was plentiful and excellent. The location is beautiful. Recommended.
