We stayed in two rooms. One in the main hotel and the other in the annexe which was a last minute decision our or part to stay an extra night.
Both rooms were very spacious and clean and comfortable with good facilities except for the lack of a chest of drawers in the first room.
I agree that the approach to the annexe is uninviting which is a shame and the rooms generally whilst clean and tidy could use a little maintenance (eg broken radiator grille).
The food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was excellent as was the service and there is a very good gym so you can work off the extra calories.
We would stay again and recommend it to fellow travellers.
