The choice on the menu, the quality and textures, the wonderful flavours, all the things which all restaurants should aspire to. Lovely staff who tried their best, the only regret was we couldn't book for the Saturday after finding this restaurant on the Friday evening. Wonderful.

We were quite late in, and after their last orders, but they happily brought us a menu. So pleased that they did as the food was really good and there was a good selection of drinks available (not driving). The lounge bar was so comfortable after the food and again, no rush. Really nice atmosphere and many thanks to Thierry, Jacques and the staff.

Several tables empty when we went in. Stood waiting (too long) but hard to catch waiter's eye so sat down at an empty table. Still hard to attract waiter's attention and he didn't seem particularly busy - tidying salt pots etc. There was a waitress busy elsewhere in room but she didn't look over in our direction - felt invisible. Two or three other couples came in and were offered a menu. Gave up at this point (well over five minutes sitting without so much as a menu or an acknowledgement) and went over to waitress to complain. She 'pulled a face', said she would bring us a menu and added the observation that they were very busy. Staff need training on how to deal with this simple situation. Left and won't be going back!

To be honest we walked in without a reservation on a bank holiday. Took 15 mins for a server to take our drink order. Beer selection is great, drank "la chouffe". No complaints at all.

We ordered frogs legs and Roquefort salad. Salad was good. Frogs legs were bland extremely under seasoned. Very disappointed.

We waited over 20 minutes before they cleared our finished plates, this is when we decided to bail on mains.

Overall a disappointment. Not to say avoid just a poor experience, I think because we had no reservation we were ignored. Not good business tactics. Overall "give it a try and be optimistic". I think our experience was abnormal.
