Staff were warm & welcoming, service was great & the food was delicious. We ordered the 'Full English' and would have to agree that The Tradesman serves up probably the best cooked breakfast in town ! :)

I live about 12 miles from Buxton and visit regularly but have only just found this little gem of a cafe in Buxton although the staff say it has been open for 2 years..I wanted a breakfast and was spoiled for choice - the traditional breakfast looked tempting but opted for the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon served with granary or white toast - delicious.Be prepared for a little wait as everything is cooked to order and when I went in it was a busy Sunday morning and the cafe packed. They they do take away as well - so will be using this service when I go to the carnival on Saturday 14th July.Great value for money and generous portions - my meal was about £5 for food and a generous pot of tea.Nice atmosphere beautiful lamps and pictures and art work many items were for sale also papers and tourist information for customers to read.Cafe was spotlesssly clean. The service was great If you are in Buxton try this little gem it isn't in the main part of town but find the Market Place and Scarsdale Place is just across from Sainsburys - you'll find the prices far cheaper than in town.
