As already mentioned don't let the approach dim your enthusiasm. This is a really nice place to stay with comfortable beds and a warm welcome from the family who are all involved in running it. They have great plans for the future and seeing what has been achieved already we would like to come back again and see how things are going. Good breakfasts and great attention to making your stay enjoyable.
Ours was a short family reunion and much enjoyed.
We didn't camp but the adjacent wooded camp site looked a delightful spot to pitch you tent or caravan.

Room Tip: If you want a view ask for upstairs.

Great location in extensive grounds on the edge of the moors, with according great views. (Don't be put off by the entrance through an industrial estate, and then the unmade approach road).
Comfortable warm, clean rooms and caring service from friendly host. Excellent full breakfast. 5 minute car ride into down-town Buxton. Thoroughly recommended.

Read the reviews before we came so no shock to drive through the industrial estate but as soon as you get there you'd never know. Beautiful views from the room.

Lovely clean room and en suite, welcoming hosts, lovely breakfast. Would recommend to anyone

The location of Staden Grange may not suit everyone, but this is an interesting place. The size of the shower room in room 4 was a little too small for us, and the farm track to the venue is not for the faint hearted. But we received a warm welcome from the hard working family, our room was clean and cosy, the breakfast room was bright and light with a lovely log fire and breakfast itself was delicious.

Room Tip: Room 4 has a compact shower room

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are fairly basic, but very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The B&B is situated a bit further out of town than I'd realised when booking and a taxi into Buxton cost £6. My only minor gripe was the poor shower. After a day's walking we were looking forward to a hot powerful shower, but discovered an underpowered electric one that didn't really do the trick! Breakfast was good, but the portions could have been a little bigger.
