Stayed here for my friend's wedding last week, I was one of the bridesmaids and we all loved it from start to finish! Once I arrived, I completely understood why my friend chose Cressbrook to marry her beloved. I've lived in the High Peak and Peak District all my life and even I was blown away by our surroundings. You just can't imagine the natural beauty unless you're there!!

My partner and I stayed in Carriage Cottage the second night, and it was gorgeous. Spacious, picturesque, and with all the catering you could ask for! (An abundance of teas/coffees etc). Absolutely perfect.

The wedding breakfast was fantastic (the smoked Derbyshire chicken was to die for!) and I cannot praise the staff highly enough over the entire weekend. 10/10 every time! Everything about this venue is wonderful, and you will not make a mistake coming here!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful! (Not helpful for choosing a room I know, but you can rest assured knowing y...

We got married at Cressbrook nearly a year ago and it was simply the most beautiful place. I couldn't recommend the staff, the service, the facilities, the scenery, the accomodation or the food enough. We got everything we wanted - a rock band, local ice cream, a pick n mix stand, an afternoon tea, photos on the trampoline, a BBQ, and a wedding outside in the sunshine. Everybody who came said what a perfect place and perfect day it was, we had complete free range of the place - it felt like it was ours for a day. If you are looking for somewehere absolutely unique, beautiful and relaxing - visit Cressbrook Hall.

We visited Cressbrook Hall in January and immediately knew this was exactly where we wanted to get married. The setting is stunning, the Hall amazing and flexible enough to accommodate the unpredictable English weather. The bookable accommodation in cottages in the grounds enables family and friends to stay on site and is superb. Bobby Hull-Bailey (owner) listened to our ideas from the first meeting and her extensive experience meant she came up with many ideas within our budget. Veronica, wedding planner, was always on hand to reply to emails and phone enquiries. Her presence on the day to ensure everything went smoothly reassured not only us but family and guests too.
We had an afternoon ceremony followed by afternoon tea with Pimms served in the orangery overlooking the manicured gardens and Water-cum- jolly Dale. It was superb! Despite the inclement June weather. We then had a hog roast for our evening reception. Again excellent fare and good value for money.
All the staff all day were professional, efficient and friendly. Very well presented and polite.
Having access to 3 areas of the Hall meant all guests needs could easily be accommodated.

We also booked breakfast for our guests who stayed overnight. The cooked breakfast was excellent. It enabled family and friends to get together the morning after, enjoy time together before heading back home. We would highly recommend this option to round off your wedding celebrations.

For a wedding with a more relaxed Country house feel you cannot find a better venue with excellent support from Bobby, Veronica and their very professional team.

Room Tip: Superb wedding venue with bookable accommodation for guests on site.

We booked this grand, palatial b&b for a weekend, and the owner thoughtfully put us up in one of their lovely cottages in the grounds, since the hall was busy. This was agreed before arrival at the point of booking, and I was more than happy with that.
Very scenic setting, attractive location, stunning hall and interior, gorgeous formal gardens.
A great b&b (it's almost too grand to be labelled a "b&b") and we enjoyed a lovely, leisurely breakfast in regal surroundings with classical music piped into the formal dining room. We couldn't believe our luck!
Oozing with character, warmth, and a very lovely owner/manager. If you fancy living like an aristo, this could be the short break you've always been looking for!!!
I bet their wedding parties are a knockout - what a location!

For anyone looking for somewhere different to stay, then this is for you. The accommodation was spotless and very well appointed and our family room was exactly what we were looking for. Breakfast, served in an airy room overlooking the gardens, was a delight. We will certainly return
