“Not the Goyt Valley”
Review of Goyt Valley

The map attached to the Goyt Valley page is NOT the Goyt Valley but the Hope Valley. Goyt Valley is between Buxton and Whaley Bridge in the opposite direction. Hope Valley is well worth a visit however. I mark it as poor not because it is a poor attraction but because the directions are completely wrong

I like the place to walk and feel the fresh air which you will never breath in big city . That day the weather was very hot therefore could not walk for long time

Lovely walks, stream for paddling, just be careful of the 1 toilet, people can open the door whilst you are on the loo from the outside and the loo is 2 metres from the door!! Exposing you to everyone in the car park!!!

Can't wait to explore further

This is a Camping & Caravan certified site with room for 5 units on EHU and around 10 tents. It is a lovely grass site with a slight slope (nothing much to worry about) and although it is at the side of a road it is separated by a large hedge and didn't trouble us at all. We spent 3 lovely nights here. The hens are very free range and wonder all over the field. The owner Chris is very welcoming and informative about places nearby. There are two shower blocks (womens and mens) and these are very clean and well looked after. There is a washing up sink and drainer in the womens shower block and also an ironing board under a plug socket. The views around here are absolutely beautiful and you wouldn't think that you're just a few minutes drive from Whaley bridge in one direction and Buxton in the other. Will be using this one for a long time to come.
