We stayed for just one Friday night at The Queens Head Hotel in Buxton, the reason for booking the Queens was that we found that other places in Buxton wanted you to stay 2 nights Friday and Saturday, the Queens let you have the one night. Car park round the back. We had room 4 which was excellent, really nice clean well equipped. Really good place to stay the landlord helped us find our way around and recommended places to eat, and booked one for us, (The Number 13). Huge breakfast, would really stay there again, I would also ask for room 4.

A 10 minute walk to theatre. In a good busy location. It is a real town style pub that prides its self on good beers. I was served the best Gin and Tonic that I have had in a long time. Staff were very friendly and helpful The accommodation comprises of 6 rooms at the back of the pub. Rooms are very basic but clean and good beds. It would not cost much to add some decent curtains and bed throws and maybe some wall paper on one wall. bed heads would be better fastened to the wall rather than wobbling about. Bathroom was a good standard and looked fresh and clean. Breakfast was adequate but served in a dismal room.

We stopped at the Queen's Head on a whim – we checked them out on tripadvisor when we were just five minutes away. Nothing was too much for them and our room was tidy, clean and comfy. Ian, the manager, couldn't do enough to make sure we were well looked after. Thoroughly recommended.
