Decided to try this on Saturday night. Personally I like a short menu with 5 to 6 mains on the logic that it will be fresher and the chef will ensure consistency. This proved to be correct in this case with perfectly cooked quail and chicken with pernod sauce and bacon which was my partners choice. Fresh pea soup and home made pate also proved good value and well cooked. Was home made pate as well rather than pretending to be. 2 pints of Storm Brewery "Bosley Cloud", 1 glass of red wine, 2 starters, 2 mains and a coffee for £41 was good value as well. Good value tasty food.
