I don't get round to writing reviews very often but the Servants Quarters warrants some extra effort! We have just returned from a wonderful break in Buxton and the cottage was the perfect place to stay. Plenty of space for the three of us (we have a nearly 2 year old), well-equipped, great welcome pack, cosy, very comfortable bed, spotless, but still retaining the character of the cottage. The Pavilion Gardens are just a couple of minutes walk away with a great park and a cafe with play area (helpful as the weather was very wet!). Shops just round the corner, and plenty of things to do within a 30-minute (or less) drive. We especially loved the ice cream at Blaze Farm... We hope to return soon, and would recommend the cottage without hesitation. Thank you.
The Servants' Quarters nestles among elegant stone villas very close to a delightful park that stretches all the way to the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens. Nearby is Poole's Cave which is well worth a visit to get an insight into the geology of the Peaks, and Buxton itself is at the heart of beautiful walking country. We appreciated that there was really good information in the accommodation about the surrounding area and the walking possibilities. The house itself was well equipped, spotless and maintained to a very high standard. The owners were attentive and helpful without being intrusive and the welcome pack, including a home-made loaf, went down a treat. We had a great time.
We enjoyed a very comfortable 2 night stay at The Servants Quarters whilst attending a wedding in Buxton. It is a very spacious and comfortable home from home which was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with freshly made bread, eggs milk and chocolates. The accommodation is very central to the high street and parking at the property was never a problem. Highly recommended!
House as described. Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Well equipped. Wifi was a great bonus. Owners very helpful. Parking easier than feared. Wonderful stay. thank you.
Pete and his wife know how to make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door, with a basket filled with the immediate necessities (milk, bread, eggs, coffee and tea) and a bottle of wine to ease you into your stay.
My husband and I and our two adult daughters just spent 4 lovely days in Buxton, made even better by the location and accommodations of The Servant's Quarters. It's an easy walk into the center of town, convenient to restaurants and grocery store and even has on street parking. we couldn't have asked for a better location or accommodation. The house is cozy and inviting with everything you would need for a short stay or a month of exploring the Peak District.
We had the pleasure of spending the Christmas holiday in this lovely accommodation, a home away from home! Fully furnished, modern, spacious and perfectly located! On arrival we found a warm welcome basket of fresh bread, shortbread cookies, wine and wait, there's more, Christmas crackers! We didn't get to meet Pete as he was away but Claire was there to check in with us and quickly available if we needed anything. Everything you need is close by, restaurants, grocery stores, shops, pubs and our favorite local fish and chips take out! We even attended Snow White at the Buxton Opera House, most enjoyable, thanks Pete! Buxton is for hikers and bikers and this would be your perfect stay. My husband, myself and our sixteen year old son commented that we could have easily brought two more teenagers. As I write this it brings back fond memories of the lovely stay we had. We entertained our family who live locally and they were quite impressed with this charming, comfortable accommodation. You will love the Servant's Quarters and we will definitely stay again!
Stayed here in March, the property was all we expected and more, lacking nothing in the way of equipment, crockery including Wifi etc. The owners were super people and nothing was to much trouble. Excellent shops 4mins walk away.Would not hesitate to return in the future.
