“One of the best getaways I've ever had!”
Reviewed 14 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

First thing to mention is that the owners Geoff and Margret are unbelievely lovely, and are increasingly welcoming!

Before our stay we received communication promty before arrival about how to get there, etc - which is always a bonus and leaves you with peace of mind.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by both Geoff and Margret welcoming us to their apartment we would be staying at for the duration of our holiday. Very friendly couple, who were more then happy to help if we had any problems. And it was lovely of them to offer some suggestions and give directions for places to drive to, such as, where to buy foods from.
There is a big Morrison's about 7 minutes drive from, which I would suggest going too.
A lovely thing to note, is that they also left little suppliments for us too, like bread, milk, tea, coffee etc... Which having stayed previously in places they never do. So me and my partner were pleasently surprised to receive these. (Thank you both once again, the sandwitch pickle was my favourite, and the Yorkshire tea ;D )

The appartment itself is, snug, cosy and I always said cute! Loved the design of it and how they made use of all the space. Fitted with everything that you needed.

Worth knowning, if you plan on staying in this little gem of a place, there is little to no mobile reception (which is no fault of the owners) but in the apartment there is free WiFi. Being perfectly honest, no phone signal for our 4 day stay was not a bad thing and just helped me relax from all the work I have. But, I digress...

Had a wonderful stay! Wish we could have stayed longer, but if we are ever venturing near the Peak District again, this will be the place we hope to stay at again!
It really did feel like a home away from home! :D

P.s Remember to bring good walking/hiking shoes!

Thank you for your super review, Paul. It was a pleasure to meet you and also happy to have been helpful to you. Being in a location behind a huge hill does make it difficult to get a phone signal but we have discovered that if you stand at the top of the entrance stairs, you can get a signal now. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

“Nice quiet location near Buxton”

Nice compact self-contained unit - well equipped kitchen with washer/dryer. No dishwasher, but with only 2 people that shouldn't be necessary. Friendly owners.

“Excellent apartment”
Reviewed 10 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

It was lovely to find our apartment after a long drive from Chorley in Lancashire, Geoff & Margaret were there to welcome us, and explain how everything worked, and we were very impressed with everything, the little things like fresh bread, butter, milk etc made our arrival so much easier, we felt right at home. We've stayed in the area on previous visits to England and found our way around very easily. The bedroom was a great size, we were able to unpack and hang our clothes in the wardrobe and there were plenty of drawers for everything. An added bonus was being able to have a cuddle with their new little kitten Millie, she's gorgeous. We would certainly recommend this lovely apartment.
