My wife and I recently stayed her in an apartment on the top floor with another couple. We were greeted courteously by Rob who was very friendly and helpful, the apartment was stunningly furnished and was home from home, easy to make breakfast or meals, great big TVs and large beds. % minutes from the centre of Buxton and ideal for nipping into town for drinks or meals, or just lounging in the apartment. We went further a filed and had great walks in Tissington and Bakewell, and had two fantastic meals in Michealangelos (Italian) and a Thai restaurant, two of the best meals I have had.

Big thanks to Wye House, a great relaxing weekend, will certainly book again.

A Great place to stay as it is in walking distance of the town centre and the accommodation was first class , we stayed in the chateau which was excellent and the staff were very accommodating and extremely friendly. The bar was quality with a relaxed feel to it and it had the biggest TV projection i have ever seen. Thanks Rob and other staff for a great weekend ,see you again .
We would highly recommend this place to stay.

My boyfriend and I spent a perfect weekend at Wye House. The quality of the accommodation is outstanding and the proximity to Buxton is great. We especially enjoyed a relaxing drink in the fabulous bar area where the drinks were very reasonably priced. It was a very special place to spent our anniversary and I would definitely recommend it.

This was my second stay and once again was an awesome experience. I travel a lot and stay in Hotels all around the Country and to stay here is so refreshing. You really feel at home! The rooms are beautifully finished with all the amenities you need. Thoroughly reccomended and will be staying again soon!

My boyfriend and I have stayed at Wye House twice and are about to book another trip!

We stayed for 3 nights in 2007 and again for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year 2008. This time we were booked in to a 5* two bedroomed apartment in the Chateau. The accomodation is spot on, every thing you could wish for for a relaxing, romantic get away.

I do however agree with other posts with regards to a few finishing touches that are required, although they did not spoil our break. Some plugs had not been fitted and you could see the wires; also we found that the extractor fan above the cooker wasn't working.

I would definitely recommend The Chateau & Wye House to anyone looking for a relaxing break with friends/family.

My girlfiend and I stayed in the Chateau over the first weekend of January 2009 in a 2 bedroom apartment. Having read many reviews of hotels on trip advisor I chose this place largely because of the very positive reviews, but the website pictures also looked excellent.

Our stay couldn't have been better, the apartment was very comfortable, roomy, stylish, well appointed, well equipped and functional. The building and area were beautiful and full of character.

Booking directly was very straightforward as was the check in/out

The very pleasant walk into the town centre was no hassle and took 5-10 mins.

Excellent value for money - We definitely want to stay again

This property has received rave reviews on TripAdvisor from other clients and save for a few minor 'niggles' it certainly lives up to its billing. Our apartment was a two bedroom unit on the top floor of The Chateau with excellent views over Buxton. High quality fittings throughout the apartment and plenty of space in which to relax & dine. High tech audio visual equipment are to be found in both the master bedroom & lounge although we did have minor difficulties accessing the freeview channels.(Channels 4 & % could not be found for some obscure reason!). Another small niggle was the fact that no signal could be found for the wireless internet although this did work in the downstairs bar area. There were another couple of glitches with loose electrical fittings & lighting but I am sure these will soon be rectified by the management. Also the lift is rather tempermental as the sensors on the lift doors are not quite in sync. A bit of a nuisance when you are on the top floor with heavy bags! However this must not detract from what is an excellent self catering facility for both couples and small families searching for a high quality short break destination. We can also highly recommend the St Moritz Swiss Italian Restaurant suggested to us by Rob, the Manager.
