Stayed last weekend for daughter's hen party. Living areas were spacious and clean and soon got warm, especially once the wood burning stoves were in action!
Bedrooms a bit small but we managed and it didn't spoil our weekend away.
Enjoyed not having mobile phone signal, Internet or tv. A really great place to get away from it all and spend time with friends and family,
Stayed for a weekend with 3 families and dogs, lovely surroundings and location, good big kitchen and table we could all sit around (13 of us), kids loved the games room, the beds were comfy, and the master bedroom was gorgeous. Lynsey was really helpful, would definitely return.
Gorgeous barn, we had a great family Christmas with 14 of us intotal it was very hectic and fun. We even had some snow which created an even better ambiance. It was great having no WiFi. Very family friendly we had 3 dogs and the owner lynsey was a perfect host.
Not far from Buxton which has everything it a beautiful town plus there are loads of walks and the views are breathtaking.
An enormous barn house with lots of lovely old features and plenty of room for a large group. There were 11 of us in one barn, but our friends who were staying in the Little Barn joined us for every meal and there was ample room around the large table and plenty of crockery etc. The are two open fires which warmed the barn up nicely, though the stone floor gets very cold, so I would bring slippers next time! There is a huge games room which is perfect for children and adults alike. Would definitely visit again!
8 friends (4 couples) and a dog stayed here for two nights for a 30th birthday and it was great. The social areas upstairs and downstairs were perfect for our group, plenty of utensils/crockery for us to cook and we all had comfortable beds. The master bedroom was lovely! We also enjoyed the fire upstairs one night.
No phone reception or wifi so would advise downloading things in advance e.g. Maps and important info for parking/ getting into the house! Kitchen does have a landline.
I discovered a leak in the downstairs bathroom one morning at 7am and called the mobile number in the folder provided. The owners answered immediately and before the rest of the group had woken up had sorted the problem and cleaned up. No one else even noticed and they brought round a bottle of prosseco for the hassle! They we're very friendly and very helpful.
One small thing is that, being very rainy whilst there, the pipes inside the barn house could be loud at times with so much water running through. Did not disturb sleep or anything though.
Buxton is a short 10 min drive with plenty of places to eat and drink! We loved the Buxton Tap House and it's dog friendly.
Would highly recommend staying here!
