I visited this place as part of a civil war tour. The lord of the manor(the Fiennes family) took us round, it was great to hear him talk with dry wit and great knowledge about his various ancestors and the times they lived in. You can see interesting paintings, lovely china, a civil war coat and weapons, there is a gorgeous walled garden, and old church with polychromatic tombs, a small café and shop, and toilets
