Had a 2 night stay on a KGB Deal which was great value. Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Room 142 was quiet albeit a bit of a trek along corridors and up and down stairs, presumable because the hotel is on a hill.
Breakfast was plentiful and included in the deal was a three course meal which was very acceptable.

Room Tip: Request not too many stairs if you have mobility problems.

I spent one night at the hotel and to be truthful didn't spend much time there awake and didn't eat any food. However, parking is reasonably plentiful, the hotel is in town, rooms are clean and staff are pleasant and helpful.

we booked this for a couple of nights so we could do the Moto GP, and it definitely has character, after meeting the friendly reception staff we went on a quest to find the room, i say a quest because it was said that the hotel was originally a set of houses put together, anyway it was up stairs the down then up again to get to the room, fun, but could be a pain for the elderly, rooms were ok, food in the bar was nice, there was a wedding on when we stayed but heard nothing after going to bed.
Would stay again as good area to explore.

I arranged a family get together for 11 people and got a very good deal. Everyone liked the hotel and enjoyed the stay. However, it was said that dinner would be booked for us on the first night, a Friday, which was in an email from the hotel on 15th April. I emailed on 30th September to confirm the numbers dining on the Friday evening, I got no reply but assumed everything was ok. I arrived a day earlier and decided to check the time we were booked for dining on Friday only to be told we weren't booked for Friday as they had a 40th birthday party on so we had been moved to Saturday. I had no communication about this and said we had made other arrangements for Saturday. The booking was changed back to Friday and we had a lovely meal with a very amusing Italian waiter, and the music didn't bother us at all. Really don't understand the reason behind the change to Saturday, I was told because it would be noisy for us, but there was a wedding party on the Saturday which also had loud music on. The rooms were lovely but the bathroom had no ventilation apart from a tiny vent strip in the top of a totally sealed double glazed window. Really needs an extractor. The TV signal is very poor and some of our party weren't able to watch tv at all because of the poor quality picture. The staff throughout the hotel were generally pleasant and obliging.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter as front is on a main road into Banbury.

This review might be coloured by our exprience with the Lismore Hotel up the road, but came here running away from there .
Here the staff were charming friendly & helpfull. The room was great , the facilities excellant, breakfast good - nothing to fault them on, therefore highly recommended.
