“Good value, great food”
Reviewed 29 February 2012

Welcoming receptionist, happy to exchange my road-side room (8) for a quiet upgrade (room 30) when asked. Both rooms were fine, but the superior double was very big, with a HUGE (and comfortable) bed, sitting area and large bathroom with bath. All very clean. Free wifi. The evening meal was very good (maybe not what I would expect from a 2 rosette kitchen, but not the price either), and the breakfast was simply one of the best I've eaten - perfect poached eggs! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road.

We attended a friend's birthday party at the hotel and stayed in one of the suites overnight. It was a very comfortable room with all the usual extras. I would have liked a dressing table with a mirror but that's just me and my vanity. We had a very goods night's sleep and a hearty breakfast in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff.

Such good value- Very good food, very clean and tidy, stayed in a suite which was very quiet and comfortable. Was offered 'dinner and stay' deal for a Sunday night which was very good value indeed. Had lunch, dinner and breakfast there - all very good and great value.

Room Tip: suites are very nice

We have just returned from spending New Years Eve at Yeovil Court Hotel. We stayed over night and enjoyed ourselves so much we are thinking of returning next year. We picked the hotel from the internet as we needed a halfway place between Devon and Hampshire in order to meet up with friends, and had never been to Yeovil before, let alone this hotel. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, roomy, and quiet. There were little touches like magazines, writing paper, mending kits plus toiletries provided and in the main hotel, individual clean towelling handwipes instead of paper towels in the restrooms. The food was extremely good and we found the staff to be very professional, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and the whole stay was extremely good value for money. We have paid much more at other hotels in the country which are far inferior to the Yeovil Court Hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel is well set back from the road and we certainly had no problems with noise, either from th...

My Wife and I regularly use the Yeovil Court Hotel en route to Cornwall and have always been delighted with the friendly reception we receive from Brian (Proprietor) and he's staff. The first pleasing impression on arrival is, how convenient the ample parking is to the hotel, followed by an efficient checking in process. Our rooms have always been stylish, clean and quiet. The cre'me dala cre'me of this hotel is the bar/restaurant, where pre dinner drinks are served at the cosy bar and beautifully exquisite dishes are served by very attentive waitresses and complimented with a selection of fine wines, in a nice intimate restaurant setting... The hearty breakfast is not to be missed either!! As we always say, 'Thank you Yeovil Court for your wonderful hospitality.'

Stayed for business but for the amount of work I was able to do and the amount of sleep I got I might have well stayed at the £19 Travelodge down the road. If you want excellent food this is the place to come, if you want a good nights sleep forget it. On arrival I was put into room 10 this is located right next to the access door of the rooms on that side of the hotel thus everytime someone goes upto or down from their room the door slams. On arrival the room was freezing, it took a good few hours for it to heat up when i put the rads on. The bathroom was clean but dated and when i ran the bath the hot water was full of air blocks which spewed out rust and other debris. When not being kept awake by the door it was the staff as the room must be near or over the kitchen/ staff entrance. I did not receive my alarm call (which I needed after being kept up all night) nor the paper i ordered. On booking out the lass on reception asked if i had enjoyed my stay to which i replied "no" and gave her the reasons stated above. She just said "oh" and offered no apology. I am not a fussy traveller however in order to function for work (and drive long distances) the next day I do need sleep. Breakfast was amazing - the food is excellent. If you are looking for fine dining this is your place. If your looking for a place to bed down for a good nights sleep and to work then avoid.

Room Tip: not room 10 !!!

Stay occasionally at the Yeovil court on business. Every time I am staying I receive a warm welcome by the reception staff who always check me in fast and efficiently with a smile and the offer of free wifi. There is a good selection of food and drink at the bar and reception and your are always welcomed with a smile and polite chit chat. The service is impeccable with every taste catered for. The staffs are a joy, everyone so polite and courteous it makes a change stay here from the big chain hotels where you are lucky to get a smile out on anyone. I don't understand how anyone could moan when the hotel is performing above its three star rating with the excellent service, food, staff and rooms. Although there are newer refurbished hotels in the area i will be coming back here time and time again. Thank you to all the staff that make every stay a wonderful and comfortable stay.
