I had the pleasure to eat here with a large (approx 45) party from work one lunchtime to celebrate someone leaving.
Unfortunately due to the size of our party we basically took the place over which meant we did not all sit in the same area. Be careful as it's easy to feel detached from the main party if in a big group.
We had pre-selected our food and arrived on time so there shouldn't have been too much of a delay and I'm glad to say there wasn't. No doubt the chef was rather busy that day! Reasonable portion sizes which were ideal for lunch.
The food was all good quality pub grub and no one had issue. Given our party size I's say this was an achievement, well done to the Quicksilver Mail.
All in all a good place for lunch and I'd happily return with my family.

Thank Iain M

The Quicksilver Mail provides excellent value for money meals from £5.50 lunchtimes, the quality is always very good. A selection of real ales are always available and in good condition in this CAMRA listed pub. The staff provide a friendly welcome and good service, though the pub can get busy at times.

We called into the Quicksilver Mail on a Sunday evening. The place was clean tidy and very busy
we ordered Roast dinners at £7.45 which we thought was excellent value for what we had . The food was Hot Fresh and Tasty; and the service was friendly . There was a little bit of a wait but the food far outweighed that. We were invited to stay for the quiz which would have been great but we were travelling back to Gloucester after a trip to the coast all in all a good experience. We would recommend The Quicksilver Mail to our friends.

4 of us ate early Sunday evening. I chose an omelette, chips and salad. Lovely fresh seasonal salad, so many chips I needed help to finish them. But the star of the show was definitely the cheese and mushroom omelette - REAL cheese and FRESH mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. Atmosphere was good and friendly because apparently they do a quiz later on a Sunday night.
