“Nice, what you would expect”

The travelodge is lovely right on the seafront, the room was a good size, it was clean and it was modern and everything worked. It is what you would expect from a travelodge. We had no problems besides our room being right beside the lift meaning we could hear when the lift said it was going up or down. All in all it was pleasant and I would definitely stay there again, its convenient right next to the town centre and in walking distant of the pier, local restaurants etc. I would recommend it.

Maybe just my room in this hotel, maybe not. But it was smallest and most spartan travelodge room I have ever stayed in. Shower only in cupboard sized bathroom the room, mismatched number of tv channels approximately 7 or 8, how hard can it be to get the full freeview list of channels? Expensive wfi.
All in all clean, but the common areas are quite shabby and worn.
I have used Travelodge many times over the years for business use, previously relatively cheap and cheerful but always clean. Now increasingly expensive, and mis-advertised as budget hotel. Only if you book and pay 6 months in advance do you get the “from” price nominally if booked a couple of weeks in advance it is £70 to £100 a night, plus breakfast and internet at £10 a day. Why go 2 star when for this money 4 star is relatively easy to find.

Room Tip: Choose an independent hotel for better service rather than misreprisented budget chain.

We booked two family rooms for the eve of the Brighton Marathon & from arrival & throughout our stay we were very pleasantly surprised. Initial greeting at reception was lovely & breakfast moved forward to 6:30am to help the runners which is a nice touch. Rooms were clean, huge & we had a sea view. Overall, a really lovely stay with some lovely touches by the hotel.

We had a wedding to attend and location wise the hotel was perfect. Check in was fine, scrap of torn paper advising room number was helpful although I'm sure we would have remembered. Room had very strong smell of bleach on arrival, although the room was very clean. Windows drafty, rubber seals hanging off on outside. Seaview was lovely though. Thought we would meet up for a quick drink before heading out on the first night, must have stood at bar for over 5 minutes, looked around to get someone's attention to no avail so left without getting a drink. Beds were comfortable, definitely the best feature. Bath incredibly small, fixed shower heads are remarkably annoying. We hadn't booked breakfast and it was tight timewise to wander around the next morning so decided to try here, £7.95 for the breakfast on offer is pretty steep to be honest, the sausages and 2 pieces of toast I had were lovely, but def not value for money. Overall the hotel is in need of a bit of maintenance on the outside, inside its sparse but it was reasonably cheap, so you basically get what you pay for. If you want a comfortable bed for a night or two then I would recommend, any longer and the tiny bath and fixed shower head with poor water pressure would have driven me mad!

Would stay here again, room very airy, tall ceiling, sea views, and really comfy bed. Staff were happy to help when we needed more tea and coffee.
Heating and a fan in the room, if needed.
Small car park, so had to park on the road outside, and leave before 9am, or use the parking meter

From the out side the hotel looks very run down and we were quite worried about the state of the inside but we were actually very pleasantly surprised.
We managed to park in the Staff Car Park at the back of the hotel free of Charge. We were advised it was first come first serve and there are about 8 spaces. Bear in mind you do need to be a designated bay.
Receptionist was very friendly and Check in was an easy process, No forms to fill out just gave our name, made payment and that's it.
From previous reviews I rang up ahead and requested a Sea View room and thankfully that's what we got.
Our room was 101 a little on the small side but was lovely, Huge bay windows with a great view.
Although the view and size of the windows were lovely we did over look the street (not noisy at all) but unless the curtains were drawn we had little privacy.
The room was spotlessly clean and supplied Tea and Coffee etc and towels.
Small plasma tv on the wall with a few basic channels.
The Bed was very comfortable and myself and my partner slept very well.
Bathroom was small but adequate and consisted of walk in shower, toilet and wash Basin.
There are no directions on how to use the shower so it took us sometime adjusting the temp to get it right, the water can get VERY hot.
We didn't have breakfast so can't comment but the bar area was OK, Clean but very basic.
They don't serve draft beer, bottled only but most other usual's, Spirits Wines soft drinks etc.

Personally, My partner and I were not to keen on Worthing, We found it a bit run down.
There is a bus stop out side of the hotel that takes you into Brighton for £7.50 Return.
Its about an hour journey but beats traffic and trying to park in busy Brighton.

All in all we were both pleased and would stay here again.

Room Tip: request a Sea view room prior to Check in.

Check Do NOT let them give you room 308. It is right next to the lift.

The repeated Lift announcements woke me up many times. Not a good night!

Parking is easier than the website suggests, with plenty of free parking at night on the road outside the hotel
