The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was good. I liked the location as it was close to both the sea and the shops, The only thing I didn't like was the lack of soap. One small bottle was provided for two people. Bearing in mind I paid 60 pounds for my stay I would expect more soap, and also more tea and coffee. A good B&B of the same price would provide that.

Rooms were comfortable, clean and adequate, however no soap was supplied and only enough coffee for one cup.
I know that you can get extra at reception but nonetheless it seems a bit skimpy.
Also is it me but do all Travelodges have doors that go BANG when shutting !!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview

Travelodge has recently invested a lot of money into refurbishing their rooms and I must say that our room was nice enough in terms of decoration / bed comfort. However, they skimped on the most basic items such as providing you with plastic cups, instead of a glass and you had one tiny little bottle of soap, which again, says it all about this group - pay for anything over and above a bed. The location was smashing, but, the exterior was dreadfully tatty and desperately needs working on. And, as for the cafe, it was like a school canteen and we skipped having a beer there due to its clinical, yet, cheap and unwelcoming atmosphere. For a seafront location, we paid £86 which I don't suppose is too bad, but, to be honest, I wouldn't bother again with this group as they skimp on so much and that does detract from the pleasure of a hotel stay.

Room Tip: Top floor as the floorboards creak

I was appalled by the Worthing Seafront Travelodge. I had booked a twin room for myself and a friend, we are both pensioners. We were given a 'family room', a double bed and a bed settee made up for the second bed. It was not long enough for an adult of average height. Breakfast was minimal and the service was very poor. Parking is as stated, non existent. If you have luggage to take into your room, there is an entrance at the rear if there is space to park your vehicle while unloading. If you leave your car on the promenade, damage is thrown in as an extra. I had a scuffed bumper and a scratch on the front. Travelodge are not responsible for this but they could have advised were a safe place would be.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel or bed and breakfast

Very happy with our stay! The family room was spacious, clean, basic, had good beds and a nice sea view. Near shops and restaurants. Parking OK - free from 18:00-9:00 h. Downside: extremely creaking floorboards + we could hear the tv of the neighbours a bit too well. But all in all, in this price range - a very good deal!

There was an extremely irregular layout to the corridors (ranging from very wide to crab-walkingly narrow) and the rooms were no different; huge spaces and then pointless alcoves with random partition walls. We stayed there two nights in different rooms, so I have to base my review on the initial booking. The beds were way too narrow and very hard - we both slept fairly poorly and with aching bodies in the morning (the second night was much better). The floorboards creak heavily throughout the building. We were put in a disabled room which gave us lots of room space but made the bathroom a disaster area. The sink was so low we had to be on our knees to use it. Being a disabled room, it had a wetroom bathroom and not a usual one. The extractor fan wasn't working, which turned the room into a sauna. One of the lights in the room was faulty. The tea and coffee provisions (and toiletries) were very sparse. However, these are the criticisms. On the other side of the coin, service was efficient and friendly enough and the place is actually extremely clean and well cared for. I have a feeling the building itself may be getting on in years but the furnishings make it appear to have had a recent makeover. It was the right temperature, with a seaview from our window, and it was quiet (not bad for a seafront on a Saturday night). This isn't a place to be wary of - it wasn't too expensive and it's perfectly serviceable.

This hotel is perfectly located for exploring Sussex with a wonderful sea-view location. The staff here are always outstanding and offer good old fashioned customer service that is so lacking in many hotels nowadays.
