“Bad nights sleep”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Great location and Travelodge, staff very friendily and the room was big and clean. Thanks to the other guests, I did not sleep much, lots of noise from neighbouring rooms and corridor. Curtains very thin and lots of early morning light to wake me once all the noise stooped, at about 3am!

Excellent location, great sea view, really comfortable beds, nice food, and a bus stop outside the front door. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough to help and advise us on this our first visit to this coast.

Hotel looks a bit tatty from the outside, flaky paint etc but once inside the service was fine with helpful pleasant staff. Room was basic but clean and tidy. Food was fine with plenty of selection along with adequate different beers and wines. All food was served promptly after ordering

I didn't have high hopes for Travelodge, but this one was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly enough, and the room was fine. The mattress was a lot better than I thought it would be - firm, but comfortable. Only downside was the lack of air conditioning, but we had a fan in the room which made the stuffiness a bit more bearable.
Only downside was the lack of parking and the sofa bed in the room (my friend said it was like sleeping on concrete!)
We paid £47 for the room, and £10 for early check in.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room, otherwise you'll have the view of a car park.

Travelodge does exactly what it says on the tin. Great Value for money, no frills and very basic but clean and tidy. If you only want somewhere to sleep then why waste money on expensive hotels. We have stayed here many times and never have any problems

Just had the one night in Worthing as a stopover on a long journey and was lucky enough to get a room with a magnificent view of the sea through one of the largest windows I have ever seen.
That was the saving grace as the rest was pretty poor. Apart from the long suffering member of staff on the front desk the rest were surely and mostly unresponsive.
The room was not as clean as one might expect, bed uncomfortable, although large, shower and wardrobe a disaster. Toilet flushed once you had mastered the control. Parking was also a lottery.
The upside was that I was more than ready to continue my long road trip in the morning.

I loathe Travelodge's but had no choice but to stay here. I was very, very impressed. Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast and lovely location right on the sea front. Have already rebooked for next South coast meeting.
