Had nothing but praise for this hotel.
Had my 40th birthday party here, and it was fantastic. They couldn't of done anymore to help us.
We had a buffet which was absolutely fantastic. Hot and cold food.
We had some left over, which we didn't know. But they gave it too us too take home the next day.
Staff very at tentative.
We had a family room for the one night, which we found quite comfortable. We had a sea view room which I would recommend.
We often also go in at lunch time for our dinner. Which had always been good. They do lunch time specials for £5. Which is very good value.
All in all a good hotel too stay.

Don't take much notice of the bad reviews at this place it's not too bad. Just wanted a room with no food and they did us proud. small double but cosy with the right partner. Room a bit entertaining at night with the passing people coming back from a night out. We don't mind a bit of noise and we slept with the window open and was great to listen to the waves crashing on the beach. Much cheaper than other hotels along the promenade.
Night porter was very cheerful and served all night.
Maybe not a very welcoming farewell, but we were off early anyway.

Room Tip: We saved money by not having a seas view, didn't make any difference.

I booked a balcony room 10 months ago but was told on arrival that they had been let to weddings and the last balcony room had recently been let by the manager. Not a good start. Rooms were only average but expensive at £110 per night. Breakfast was no better than a boy scout cookout. Dinner was worse. Totally disappointing.

We recently stayed for one night at this hotel, upon booking the room we asked for a sea view which we were lucky enough to get. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was a good size room with a small table and two chairs with a prefect view of the sea. The only problem was our room was so hot as the radiator was on full blast in the bathroom and we couldn't turn it off. It was a very warm day and the last thing we wanted was a sauna in the bathroom. We asked at reception if the radiator could be turned off and luckily enough the maintenance man was also behind reception desk, he explained it was broken and he could get us a fan, which he did within seconds. The maintenance man explained that to fix the radiator all the hot water etc would have to be turned off and that seemed to be the reason why it hadn't been fixed. It is a shame the hotel didn't offer us a discount for having this room!
The view from our room was great, we had breakfast which was also good, I was a little doubtful it would be after reading some of the reviews. The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Despite the broken radiator we would go back to this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel on the 1st August for three nights, I had a single room on the first floor. My room was clean and adequate for my needs, I also had a sea view from the side window, I was able to park on site without any issues, the staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. I really enjoyed my stay as I could come and go as I pleased and there were no time restrictions as the reception is manned 24 hours a day.
I would definitely book again, the location was superb for access to the beach, pier and large shopping centre.

Room Tip: Choose a front or side room for good views of the sea

Stayed for 2 nights, and the first room was in desperate need of some TLC and a proper clean. Needed redecorating, (Wallpaper peeling off, paint peeling off,) shower was almost non existent. Got moved to another room, better but still in need of a clean.
Both rooms were extremely dusty. Its a shame, as it could be such a nice little hotel. If they put some extra effort into basic cleaning and a lick of paint

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are better, just avoid 23
