We won an overnight stay at this hotel so took the opportunity to off-load the kids for the night and have a night out.
On arrival, staff were friendly, and the hotel seemed clean and whilst a little dated (lifts are ancient) seemed ok.
It wasn't until we went to try to go to sleep that we discovered the bed, whilst rock hard, was lumpy and had springs poking us in the back at some points, and dropped off to the side at other points - we had an awful nights sleep, getting up eventually looking forward to our included full english breakfast.
So onto the breakfast - well full english it wasn't - maybe half english - a sausage, a half rasher of bacon and an egg, some beans (cold), mushrooms (which I don't eat so asked them not to bring them out, along with the cooked tomatoe which I also dislike). I had semi expected maybe a bit more of the other parts to replace the tomatoe and mushrooms but no. There was no fried bread, no hash browns, and all in all it left us feeling hungry still - and to think they normally charge over £13 for this breakfast...
Still - as it was a free night for us we didn't complain about anything, but we certainly would not have paid to go there, and would not recommend it...
