“Could not have chosen better venue for our wedding reception”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

Very pleased with our recent wedding reception held at this venue. Could not fault either staff or facilities. Our overnight stay was comfortable and room had everything we expected all though spa bath was nice, shower would have been good , not sure if this is the case with all rooms. Food was really nice and well presented , served hot and promptly. Bar area is cosy and serves fine beers and wines. Cant thank Curt and his team enough for looking after us , really helpful with planning etc , and did not push for us to spend more than necessary . Only gripe we did have was with food tasting arrangements having being made , on arrival for this, manager on the evening knew nothing about it , appeared a little stressed , flustered and disorganized. However , can really recommend Findon manor hotel , but only communicate with same planner preferably Curt and his team.

A friend and I shared a room whilst playing golf in the area. We asked for a twin room, which had been prepared as a double. This was resolved immediately and without fuss. We decided to eat at the in house Snooty Fox restaurant, which was very good. The pie of the day was excellent. Good real ale served in the bar. The breakfast was very good with some specials available. Kippers were first class, not the highly dyed supermarket fillets. The wi-fi was reliable, the room and linen spotless. The provision of a cafetiere with ground coffee in the room was a nice touch. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and very au-fait with how to provide good service. We spoke highly of the hotel at the local golf course, who may recommend Findon Manor to other visitors. Highly recommended.

Just had a 3 night break at this hotel.Room was very clean and comfortable.Staff are very friendly and helpful.Breakfast is cooked to order and very tasty and the service is first class,
Hotel is well situated to tour area and there are plenty of local pubs serving reasonably
priced food and good ale.

My husband and I stayed for a night at Findon Manor. We had a very enjoyable experience with the staff, especially with Natasha who could not have been more helpful when asking about the local area. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant both of which were delightful. The bedroom was a good size and very comfortable. The newly renovated lounge area was a lovely place to sit in the morning to read the papers. Overall a great stay and I would highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights while attending a family wedding locally. A relaxed and friendly welcome.
We ate at the hotel on the first night, and were helpfully advised that we could have the "dining-room" menu in the bar, as there would be nobody else in the dining room. As it turned out, the bar menu was fine and we were very impressed with the quality of the food and the cheerful service provided by the young staff.
We also had breakfast, which was slightly erratic - good on one day, apparently cooked in a bit of a rush the other.
The room was fine, and surprisingly quiet considering it was at the front and there had been a wedding reception that day!
Areas for improvement - reception could have had a bit more local knowledge (e.g. churches on Sunday), and the phone in the room was not working (though I was told this was being attended to.

An overnight stay to attend a funeral, for which the wake was also held at Findon Manor.
Made to feel at home and a relaxed atmosphere helped what could have been a stressful experience. Dinner was good and prompt service at very reasonable cost, eating in the bar. Only very minor quibble was that wifi did not extend to the bar area.

This hotel dates back to the 16th and 17th century and is situated in the lovely village of Findon. It is in typical Olde English style complete with slightly wonky floorboards and interesting nooks and crannies about the building. We stayed only one night in this very quaint hotel, but would definitely stay again for longer. The staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and every amenity thought of, including hair dryers and an iron and board in each room. The breakfast was delicious and the Snooty Fox bar adjoining the hotel serves very good pub food if you want a relaxed simple meal. The beautiful South Downs are nearby and there are other typical English pubs in the village along with an Indian restaurant. Findon Manor is well placed to visit various local places of interest and would recommend it to anyone

Room Tip: I'd go for a garden view if possible as the gravel drive and parking area were a little noisy wi...
