This was a pleasant hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room 33 was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath which I liked. The shower head might need to be cleaned so that the water comes out with more force.
The breakfast was very good but I would like to see it included in the price so that it makes the stay a little cheaper.

Room Tip: Room 33 was very good

My son and new daughter inlaw used this venue for their wedding, and from the word go everything was so perfect. The staff were so proffessional, and nothing was too much trouble. The gardens and interior of hotel are idyllic, the perfect place for the perfect day. With the economy problems of today The Windsor Hotel must offer the most value for money, as their rates are the best in Sussex. But nothing is spared in quantity or quality. I would strongly recommend this venue to anyone planning any type of function

Room Tip: they are all good

Our daughter's wedding reception was held here on 20th April 2013. I cannot express how pefect the day was. Bill and his staff worked tirelessly to make the day special and nothing was too much trouble. A lot of the wedding guests stayed at the hotel and all said how nice their rooms were, and how they enjiyed their breakfast. We stayed in room no. 26 which was spacious, with a jucuzzi bath and a lovely comfortable bed!

We cannot praise this Hotel enough, and think you would be hard pushed to find a better value local venue for a wedding reception.

Over the past few months I, and other members of my family have stayed here frequently while attending to difficult family matters. I cannot say enough for the staff who have been so kind, sensitive, helpful and always efficient. The hotel was comfortable, pleasant and spotlessly clean. The location is central, but set down a quieter street. The food was great too.

I often stay at the Windsor as it is our favoured corporate hotel in Worthing, hence the rate is reasonable...although a quick look at late rooms usually shows it and other similar hotels at around the same price anyway. The rooms vary, some of them being quite small to others of suite proportions. What you get tends to be dependent on how full it is (which is fair enough really, but the single corporate traveller definitely gets the smaller rooms when full!). The service is friendly and rooms adequately furnished, and clean, although the decor is a bit dated. There is no lift and it is a bit of a rabbit warren to get around. I have not used the restaurant for evening meals but the breakfast is OK, and plated rather than a buffet. I can recommend the smoked haddock with poached eggs. Shame that the fruit juice is all from concentrate but seems fairly common in mid range hotels. Something we could really learn from our foreign cousins is how to provide fresher ingredients!!!! Overall The Windsor is adequate, and as good as anything else I have tried in Worthing. It is not a place blessed with many high class or modern hotels, faded Victorian Glory best sums it up as a town

Room Tip: No lift, lots of stairs so ask accordingly

I have just returned from a stay at this private hotel. The Staff were 5*. The food was 5*,the bedroom was 1*. What a shame this room almost spoiled a good weekend. The room was a little larger than a cupboard. The bed was only3/4. the shower- no power. The heating could not be switched off, or down. The window in the bathroom has a broken pane. TV reception for BBC 1 & 2 intermitent. £73 for the room was £23 too much. As it was booked by a friend,I felt it difficult to complain. But I would certainly hesitate about staying again. If the Management read these reviews.... it's room No 31 and I stayed 2/3 February 2013.

Room Tip: Don't go above first floor.

Have been staying here a lot this winter/autumn as I am working on a project in Worthing. This is a very friendly, comfortable hotel with great, helpful staff. The internet connection seems to be sorted now. The breakfasts are great, evening meals good, although maybe a bit pricey and with limited vegetarian choice (I am am veggie) - veggie sausages for breakfast normally available. The issue from the choice point of view is partly staying 3 or 4 nights a week. There are plenty of restaurants of kinds of varieties within walking distance anyway so it is easy to add variety. Definitely recommended.
