Owner description: This stunning Edwardian cinema, first opened in April 1911 and, having recently celebrated its centenary, has been fully restored to its former glory and is once again open to the public. With our friendly team of staff, this is certainly the place to come and be entertained with your film of choice. We have two screens, including the opulent main auditorium, seating 500 and the more intimate 'Electric Theatre', with it's newly refurbished Premier seating.

Shabby chic cinema and you can take your beer with you! Great atmohere better than a multi screen dressed up barn.

“olde time cinema”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

love coming to the Dome, its old, quaint and licenced too. main screen isn't huge and is situated next door to a main bus depot so some bus noise can be heard but doesn't distract too much

“Love this local treasure.”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

There are two screens here. The smaller one upstairs has benefitted from a refit if you haven't been for a while. The best screen experience is downstairs. Plenty of room, and you get to go through to the bar if you require alcohol, or sweets etc in the middle of the Edwardian foyer.
