Owner description: This stunning Edwardian cinema, first opened in April 1911 and, having recently celebrated its centenary, has been fully restored to its former glory and is once again open to the public. With our friendly team of staff, this is certainly the place to come and be entertained with your film of choice. We have two screens, including the opulent main auditorium, seating 500 and the more intimate 'Electric Theatre', with it's newly refurbished Premier seating.

I love that this place is so well cared for and supported!! The atmosphere is great and its just so lovely to be a part of their support system because without us- their customers it wouldn't be there!! The value for money is amazing as they have so many offers, they cater for special needs groups i.e autism and really good disabled access and facilities. The films are up to date just like anywhere else and comfortable surroundings with the added edge of the beautiful character and architecture Love it there!!

This historic building will take you back in time as soon as you enter its doors. The bar area will fascinate you while you enjoy a glass or two before the show. Value for money and the seats are very comfortable. The whole experience will make you want to come here instead of the more expensive boring cinemas elsewhere

My husband and I went to see Spiderman recently and it was a fantastic film. The venue was great but the film was disturbed by the party that was going on in the room next door. Shame they had both going on at the same time.

As we used to frequent this place in the seventies, many years ago, i recently returned, to be surprised how the renovations have complemented the original decor. also the cafe with the old projector in the corner, and memorabilia, was a lovely touch.

This is a cinema in a fabulous building, nicely restored. Its a really lovely place to be and to imagine a time gone by.

The seats are hard and (possibly original) fitting the building and its age. Not all the latest gadgets and gizmos for the cinema, but go for the ambience and a look at this wonderful building.
