“no wonder the place was empty”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

silva and I walked past a couple of times then decided to go in. we ordered poached egg on brown toast with bacon and fresh toms.
we got two eggs each on white toast with bacon and toms, each!
The eggs were done in vinegar and were not fans of that as all we could taste was vinegar! after a few bites more of our tasteless food we backed it, I quietly explained to the young lad that we were not happy and he offered us a 25% reduction.
we ended up just paying for the two drinks.
all along this lane were cafe's, and most had people sitting in and outside, which should have been a give away. we saw a café on the beach called "caf'e des artists the food looked really good, and the seating area outside is on the beach stones. We wished we'd gone there!

“Ok Food, terrible service”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

Nice food but terrible service basically if they get it wrong its still your fault and i was pleased to see that this happened to another table whilst we where visiting. Sorry was never mentioned once for the fact we had waited 35 minutes for a sandwich, Nor did i hear an apologies to another table when they got there order wrong. Manors obviously is not the strong point in this cafe.

“Delicious and family friendly every time.”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Love the family section round the back, and the baby platter was perfect for a picky eater. Other child had make it yourself sandwich which was loved. I had steak sandwich with red onion marmalade which was amazing. We've been a few times and always to the same standard and friendliness.

“Wouldn't go back.”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Although the place looks nice, service is poor an given without a smile. The food is nice but takes forever to arrive by which time any hot drink you ordered is now cold. Been here twice to make sure it wasn't just a one off, the manager should not be in a service industry.

“Good range of vegetarian options”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

(Also non-vegetarian). Toys for little kids in the back room. Staff were happy to adapt the menu to accommodate fussy eaters and lactose intolerance.
