Took my family into the restaurant 10 mins early despite the front door being open. I asked for a table of 4 and got stared at by the two waiters

After a brief discussion in their language to each other we were shown to a table in the empty restaurant.

I requested a window table and told no because there was a problem in that area.. The problem soon disappeared when I said forget it! We left the restaurant with the waiter suddenly being nice and helpful

Such a shame the food here is good not cheap but very good. Shame about the hostile attitude.

We returned to the Prithi Raj in Lancing and received excellent service and a window table with no fuss.

Went here with a friend last week for dinner after reading some good reviews.
Before you enter you see their awards listed on the door and then as you enter there's yet another award on the bar, the staff seem very proud of these and rightly so, the food here was fantastic.
My friend did his usual and started off with the same meal he always has when he tries somewhere new and said it's the best he's had in a long time.
I tried something different off their speciality menu and it was delicious.
The food was spicy but still flavoursome, the garlic naan had masses of garlic, the onion bargees were the best we've tasted and the service was great.
For a meal of 2 popadoms, a naan, rice, main (these range from £5 upwards, most specialities are £10) and a beer each, with tip, £18 each, worth every penny.
Definitely going again.

Went on a works do here. Drinks and good expensive considering there is so much competition in the area. Food good but no real flavour. Service good and organised. No long wait. Would go again if large group.

Staying in worthing, we looked on trip advisor for a good restaurant and found a couple that were close to the hotel, we had a walk round and decided on the Mahaan... so glad we did

The restaurant was busy, but seated us right away, service was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, and the food, well its some of the best I have eaten

All 3 of us had different dishes and everything was just as it should be, It fully deserves all the great reviews its been given, and I have no hesitation in recommending it, and if in Worthing again I will certainly return

Came here a couple of days after Fathers day with my Dad for lunch. I had the prawn pathia which was absolutely delicious and I have never seen so many prawns in a curry. Dad had a chicken madras which he was equally happy with. Both of us would recommend this restaurant, and will definitely revisit next time in Worthing, Staff really friendly and, overall, a great experience. thank you...Lesley (Poole, Dorset)
