Ok, pretty much wherever you go Travel Inn rooms are the same. Pretty comfortable and a fair size if you are only passing through and staying for one night......
I had some issues with this particular Travel Inn though. For starters the motorway noise really does intrude into the room, and I am generally a good sleeper. Also the noise from the air conditioning of the sports centre next door is just as bad as the motorway noise; together they are intolerable.
Also the attached restaurant has a strict dress code. I was staying here for a sporting event as were many others when I stayed, and all I had was sportswear. I was told by the reception staff to go in and say I was a hotel guest, which I duly did and was asked to leave anyway.....absolutely ridiculous.....Reception staff were ineffectual about my complaints, and did nothing to resolve them.
Eventually got a refund from Travel Inn head office with their 100% satisfaction guarantee.
