“Great Pub”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Tucked away behind the railway arches, the Great Western is a pub you really need to be looking for to find. Despite this it is always busy, especially on match days when it is absolutely packed. There is always a good choice of real ales on and the food choices are good home cooked food.

“The best in Wolves”
Reviewed 17 February 2014 via mobile

The Great Western has been the ONLY pub to frequent in Wolverhampton for many years but continues to go from strength to strength. The beer is always exceptional in way of quality, choice and value. The staff are wonderful, helpful and courteous too. The GWR is well worth a visit anytime you are in town!

“Better than your average pub”
Reviewed 8 January 2014 via mobile

It's a good real ale pub as long as you can get a seat, of which none are comfortable and if so it's not next to someone who smells or talks really loud. The Bathams is excellent and the measures of spirits are large at 35mm. The food is traditional simple Black Country such as pork sandwiches and black pud, but it's surprisingly very good and always try to eat when I visit. No food on a Sunday though. Worth a visit
