Had to go back after our trip in march (last report, 'snowed in' in March). had a wonderful long weekend, different room this time but service just as good. Keith is very helpful when it comes to advising on eating out and local atractions. Highly recommended. Again!

Room tip: Really like room 10. It is upstairs, but its lovely and spacious with a very nice fireplace feature. You can hear some road noise (specially if its warm weather and you need the windows open) but it you are not getting up for work in the morning it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

The hotel itself was beautiful and the breakfast was absolutely marvelous. Everything was very clean. No problems with parking as the hotel has it's own private car park.

Unfortunately, the only downside of this hotel for us was the beds. We had a twin bedded room(2 singles) and both mattresses were well and truly past their best with springs very much in evidence.Because of this, lack of sleep marred our stay in room number 14, which would otherwise have been very good.

Thank you for your kind review, and I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I was concerned about your comments about the beds, as they are good quality and only about 2 years old. However, sleep quality is a very subjective issue, so there is little we can do. Many apologies!

I rang Keith up after reading positive reviews. We arrived a bit early, so I thought I'd ask if we could leave the car in the car park whilst we popped out..Keith went to see if the room was ready for us, which it was and he carried our bags up tot he room. We was in room 10 which was clean and very cosy. The breakfast was excellent and we will def come and stay here again very soon.

Room tip: We had Room 10 which over looked the corner and was a lovely room

Stayed there for a single night to take in the local theatre. Rooms are good, clean and functional. Service is great. Breakfast was really tasty. Just what you need for a good start to the day. I would stay again.

Hope this helps

One night stay as down for a gig, deceptive hotel, large gardens and parking, hotel it's self is full of unusual and quirky memorabilia , room was ok, bit on the small size, lacking in plug points. Bed was good, comfy, extra pillows. Overall it was nice, didn't do breakfast but easy check in and out
