“Superb Spa Day!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014

I bought a Groupon Spa Day offer and took my mum along. The hotel itself it lovely and the Spa is fantastic. The staff were attentive and friendly and made us feel really welcome. The offer included lunch and 2 treatments which was fantastic value for money. We both had a Clarins Facial and Hot Stone Massage which were both amazing!!! We felt 10 years younger! There is a an outdoor hot tub, steam room and sauna. There is also a meditation room that you have to book for a 20 minute slot. Inside there are 3 waterbeds and is it the most relaxing environment I have been in...bliss. Overall, it was a great day out and we finshed it off with a glass of wine a tapas in the hotel bar. Just perfect!

My husband and I stayed here for our 5th anniversary and really enjoyed our weekend. Initially we booked the Friday night using a groupon, which was an excellent value, and then added a second night. We also used the gym, spa (with hot stone messages), ate at the restaurant and had drinks in the bar.

Overall ambience is great. Modern, classy, clean, if a bit masculine, and really has an up market feel. Reception was wonderful, staff fantastic and endlessly accommodating.

Bar: prices are not for the faint hearted, but not surprising or outrageous. It's a nice bar with great cocktails, except the dirty martini that had a thick and murky layer of olive oil on it (which a bartender, the only staff member less than fantastic, argued with me was the juice freshly squeezed from the olives and had no idea what brine was), but a very nice bartender made me a delicious cosmo instead.

Restaurant: again, you get what you pay for and it was absolutely beautiful food. Loved every bite with wonderful service and great wine, it was nearly perfect (and we're quite big foodies, if I'm honest). They also sent us a plate of chocolates that said 'Happy Anniversary'. Sweet touch :) breakfast was also amazing!

Room: very clean, very stylish. Nice TV, not very good channel service. Excellent wifi. Comfy bed and in-room temp control were great. BUT first room, 105, was horribly noisy and ruined my night of sleep. No problems to switch rooms, but in new room, 235, air con came on loud as a helicopter at 4am and woke us both up. First weekend away without our toddler and I did not expect sleep problems!

Spa: great service, nice little spa, but quite small for the price. It's very convenient when you don't want to go out much, like ourselves, but I wouldn't go there just for the spa. The hot stone messages were lovely (my hubby says Alexa is fab), but the overall facilities, including the gym, are just a bit lacking in variety and calibre, especially compared to the rest of the hotel.

Mercedes Benz World is just outside the hotel and is great fun for free or you can buy an experience.

Weybridge is a lovely little town with some great pubs, I highly recommend The Queens Head for those of more discerning taste and Sullivan's for less expensive, more homely food.

What we got:
Two nights
Two breakfasts
One dinner
10 drinks
Two massages
Gym and spa access
Tapas lunch
At about £500.

I am delighted that you chose Brooklands to celebrate your anniversary and that the team looked after you well. I will share your feedback with all of them in particular the bar to ensure that our cocktails are all served as they should and that any issues are dealt with appropriately. We will certainly look into your comments on the air conditioning noise as this is certainly not the norm and we will address any issues with our air con company. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back.

This was the second time my husband & I stayed at The Brooklands. We got a brilliant deal which included a glass of Prosecco each, 20% off our food bill and any treatments at the Spa. We were delighted to receive an upgrade to an Executive room too! (103) I must say that the delux room we stayed in the last time was just as lovely, only smaller and didn't include a bath. The attention to detail in the finish of the room, particularly the tiling in the bathroom is impeccable. This is seen throughout the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is quite pricey but beautifully cooked. The spa is indeed a very relaxing area. I agree that a second hot tub would be useful for busy periods. We stayed on 6th January so it was nice and quiet. The hotel is right next door to Mercedes World and The Brooklands motor museum. These are both worth a visit. I found Mercedes World particularly interesting and I'm not that interested in cars! The highlight of our stay was the breakfast buffet. There's so much choice and everything is really fresh. It's the best hotel breakfast we've ever had, worldwide....better than at home even! Do not hesitate to book, you will not be disappointed. I'm not sure why there have been any bad reviews. These people must be delusional, what do they want, the moon on a stick?!?!?! The Brooklands Hotel can not be faulted.

A comfortable and clean hotel situated nicely for visiting family in Weybridge although we were almost cut off by floods!
The hotel felt rather empty for the Christmas period and one drawback was that it was not easy to regulate the temperature in the room, as a/c only seemed to cool and it was not possible to control the heat!
Windows do not open
Bed was extremely comfortable although being very soft
Nice bathroom with walk-in shower
Mini bar was empty apart from mineral water and no safe in the room which One would expect to have, as the hotel is certainly not cheap
Breakfast and service was very good and the staff are extremely polite and eager to please.

Thank you for your feedback and I am pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. Indeed the area was subjected to floods from the river Wey which effected the access roads but fortunately did not impact on the hotel itself, however I know that the museum and MBW were impacted, so we were very lucky. Indeed Christmas time is a quieter time for the hotel however I am pleased the team looked after you well. Our hotel has full air conditioning and therefor the only windows that open are in the suites and executive rooms that have balconies. The bars in the rooms have complimentary waters, however they can be stocked up with drinks of preference on request, I am sorry if this was not made clear to you. I am so pleased my team looked after you well and I hope that we can welcome you back again when you are visiting in the area. Happy New Year to you.

This is a reasonably priced hotel about 30 mins drive from Heathrow and convenient for M25, A3, M3. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly. The restaurant is good. Certainly nicer than staying in an airport hotel at either Gatwick or Heathrow.
