“Night before creamfields”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed here the Friday night before heading to creamfields festival 10 mins drive down the road.
Staff were helpful and friendly with any questions we had.
Room was clean and comfortable enough for what we paid.
We ate in the restaurant late and night and had a drink, food was average for the price. Check out in the morning was quick and easy and staff early morning were very friendly and talkative.
Would stay again if the price was right.

We were welcomed by Adam. Served hot chocolate by Wesley and pam pumped my car tyres up as they were flat. The staff were excellent it was a very busy weekend for them , they had been double booked but still smiled and gave excellent customer service. Even the cleaning ladies were helpful. Would recommend this place if visiting Manchester or Liverpool. Thanks to you all at Warrington especially those mentioned.

Stayed here for a few nights and was quite depressed with it all really... The hotel is located in the midst of a series of roundabouts/motorways with nowhere to walk to, nowhere to eat/drink and with no real facilities with which to enjoy from within the hotel premises.

The staff seems friendly enough, but the hotel is very average. The bar area is small and quite grubby. The prices are quite high for the standard on offer and the restaurant/breakfast area is very unimpressive.

The rooms are very grubby...my bedclothes were not changed in the 3-4 nights I stayed there and once I even had to contact the staff to provide some towels as none were left in the room. Trying to get a good nights sleep is near on impossible as you can easily hear the conversations in the hallway and the slamming of the doors from the other guests.

The internet is chargeable (according to one staff member) while I managed to get vouchers from another.

Im sorry - I cannot recommend this place and will not be back. Its a shoddy building in a shoddy and depressing location.

Easy access location , Ok for an overnight stop over before travelling onwards , didn't use bar or restaurant facilities as they were closed on my arrival at 11.15pm , There Was room service but very limited for choice .Rooms were clean and tidy , slight musty cigarette smell in the room as well as the corridor and lift .Bed was comfortable , quiet enough for a busy hotel just off the motorway Did try to charge me £20 for wifi service, strange as I didn't have my phone or laptop in the room , as I had left them in the car by mistake overnight ... All in all a pleasant overnight stay .

I have stayed in several hotels whilst travelling back and forth between Scotland and the south of England and this is, by far, the best. I stayed in an executive room on a Saturday night at a very reasonable rate of just over £60 for bed and breakfast. The room was very clean, nicely decorated with a good well equipped bathroom. Excellent tv, tea and coffee making facilities, empty mini bar with drinks/snack machine outside in the corridor, mineral water and towelling robe. Room service was very good, if a little pricey and the breakfast on offer was excellent. The only minor criticism I have is that the hotel could do with checking the door closers as there seemed to be a great deal of very loud door slamming throughout the evening. But finally, I have to compliment the staff, who were outstanding. Every member of staff, from check-in to check-out was smiling, gracious, polite and helpful - exactly what you want to see. I hope that the manager at the Holiday Inn will pass on the compliments of this review to the staff.

Stayed here before, this time, not so good. We were in room 320 - 3rd floor. Room had a fusty cigarette smell. Bathroom wasn't very clean, toilet hadn't been cleaned, I won't go into anymore dirty toilet details. On leaving I asked if we had been put in a smoking room, they said sorry for the smell, but all their rooms are non-smoking, and didn't go into any explanation of why it smelled. Free wifi for members is a joke, 0.2mb download speed and 0.06mb upload speed, dial up was faster 15 years ago. Good job there was 3G signal on my phone. If you want normal wifi speeds you have to pay, they don't put that on the website. We arrived at 1am, so didn't want the hassle of changing rooms and went straight to bed. There was no sign of a smoking area below our window, so the management can't use that excuse on this one.

Room Tip: Don't stay in room 320 if a non-smoker

We arrived at the hotel and when we tried to check in, she (the duty manager) said we hadn't paid for the hotel and told us to go to the Premier Inn near the hotel with them paying the bill, without even looking at the documentation, because they had already sold our room after paying for it.

Later when we wanted to sit on a table in the hotel's restaurant, they impertinently told us to sit in the bar (we're a family of four, two adults and two kids).

Also, we didn't have internet in the room when they advertised free internet, you need to pay for it.
