Description: Whether you're looking for a long, lazy lunch with family, or a spontaneous mid-week treat with friends, we've got you covered. Our beautiful pub and restaurant combines the cosy, rustic features of the countryside with delicious, contemporary food and drink. And when it comes to refreshment, our fridges are fully stocked with plenty to choose from, including countryside ciders, cask ales, prosecco and carefully selected wines. The Walton Arms dates back to the 1800's when it was once used as a halt for horse-drawn buses. Today, we've tried to preserve some of the original features, such as our tall chimneys, stone mullion windows and grand entrance way. We like to think it's this attention to detail which sets us aside from your average pub. After a bite to eat with us, why not make a day of it and discover what's beyond our walls, including the Cheshire Ring Canal Walk, Walton Hall and Moore Nature Reserve. As part of the Vintage Inns family, we're proud of our countryside heritage and welcoming service which ensures you'll always receive the Vintage treatment. So, sit back and relax while we take care of the rest. The countryside is calling.

Nothing good to say. A terrible car very, dry meat, cremated veg and greasey plates. Add in bored staff and every inch of the place from car park to toilets being filthy and it's all you need. Lots of nice pubs nearby. Pass this one on your way to one.

“Walton Arms ,Warrington”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

I haven't seen a place go downhill so quickly in a long time, this place used to be a nice little eatery but that seems no longer to be the case, the service was slow AND bad ,the wrong meals were brought to us ,the pint measures were short , the food area was unkempt with spilt and dried on food ,I had to swap the chairs because they were filthy and splattered with dried paint ,the carpet had walked in food everywhere that was being ignored by the staff most of whom looked like teens and could not have been less interested in what they were doing,we actually saw a group of people being seated at a table which was already taken by a group who were at the carvery !!! Sorry Walton Arms you blew it - my advice GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

“Good food, slow service.”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

We decided to visit for the first time. The waitress who greeted us was busy entering an order. She said to go to the bar whilst she wiped some tables and she would only be a few minutes. There did seem to be a number of empty tables. She kept us waiting a long time but eventually we were shown to a table. There was another wait before anyone came to take our order. We chose the carvery and it was good. We had plenty of choice and plenty to eat. It is normally £5.75 and is good value. We added a dessert and decided to join their Diamond Club (over 60s). That meant that the 2 courses were £7.95 in total. Over the whole meal the service was slow, there were not enough staff to keep an eye on who was ready to order, who had finished and who wanted to pay. The food was worth a 4 but the slow service lowered the score to a 3. They are open from 10.00am to midnight. We will probably visit again. We were told that they were changing to a Mitchell and Butler pub soon.

“Good friendly service”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We visit here for a late lunch. It was quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. I had the chicken which came with chips and a little salad which is nice to have. My other half and daughter had deserts of banana split and the sundae which they really enjoyed. Good food at a reasonable prices. Would go again if in the area.
