After reading reviews before we visited, I didn't have high expectations for the food at the hotel, and it's was just as well! The carvary is a joke really. Not much to choose from, quality poor and luke warm at best. Having said this, it was £8 per adult so I guess you get what you pay for. Breakfast was adequate, a minimum of 4 hot items I'd been told on the phone, and that's exactly what it was. The congealed blackened scrambled eggs didn't appeal and again the bacon and sausages were not very hot. The kids were happy with the choice of cereal and toasts.
The room was great. Fantastic use of the space for the kids bunk beds, and overall it was clean. I just felt the attention to detail overall is lacking. Our bathroom had no soap, and an empty box of tissues. I had to ask for soap, not bothered about tissues but why leave an empty box? Our loo roll ran out on the way out in the morning. The room was serviced while we were out but the empty roll was still there, which meant an embarrassing trip to reception to request some. The hair dryer exploded in my hand. After asking twice I did get a replacement taken from another room I was told, to which it would be returned. I have a feeling the dodgy one may not be removed so if you're in room 102 be careful!
Overall, I would recommend and I would go back again, but I would eat elsewhere.
