This has been recently (Nov '16) taken over by a few local families who have a real desire to see it succeed. They're extremely friendly and welcoming to all. They have a fab gin menu with fresh garnishes and fever tree tonics. Also great beer - what's not to love. A fab warm, welcoming atmosphere and plenty of space and parking. An all round winner.

Popped in for a quick drink tonight - the first time since its been taken over by new management. All I can say is wow! It was such a difference going into a busy pub. It was the busiest I have ever seen it in the two years I've lived in the village. Good choice of gins and the real ale on tap was spot on. Could have easily stayed there all evening!! Really hope the village support these guys as its about time we had a proper village pub to visit. Looking forward to being able to eat there as well. We will be back.....!!

I went to the Red lion with the family of six today
I thought the food was good sensibility priced and plenty on the plates there was a few things they had on the menu which wasn't available but there was plenty of selection of other food I would have no hesitation to go back again

Not eaten since its changed hands. Thought we’d pop in for a few drinks and a bite to eat.
I chose scampi, was really quick to come out and nice and hot. Scampi was lovely, chips were ok, salad I totally gave a miss. The salad looked really pretty with the strawberries on top, however was a bit dry and however much I love cucumber I like it to be freshly sliced.
Beer was good and the service was super. Need to go back and try something else….
