We went on the back of checking Trip Advisor for somewhere in the area. We booked but didn't need to which was surprising with it been top in the area.
Lovely welcome from really friendly staff, The whole ambience is really nice and laid back.
Food was superb locally sourced and a Chef/Owner who made the time to come and speak to every table to ensure everything up to standard.
We would defiantly revisit if in the area again.

Not been here for a year or so and just felt like a night without cooking. It was well worth the visit. Not the cheapest restaurant in Wallingford, but I think value for money. Staff were attentive and the food, as last time was very well cooked and presented. Will have to return again, but not such a long gap this time!!! Well done Matthew & Megan

A lovely restaurant with a great relaxed atmosphere, this was the first visit for myself and my husband, it was a surprise present and we didn't know what to expect - it was fantastic! Matt made us feel very welcome, we sat in the bar for drinks while perusing the menu and he suggested a delicious bottle of wine, which was very reasonably priced. The wine list is extensive with some very good wines. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and it was hard to make a choice, my husband had steak with gorgonzola sauce which was cooked to perfection and I had the fish of the day which came with a beautiful fresh vegetable sauce - also cooked to perfection! The food is all locally sourced and very fresh. We will definitely be back - there are many more things on the menu I want to try! Well done Matt!

My boyfriend and I went to the Partridge Inn after seeing it as the #1 restaurant in Wallingford and it did not disappoint! It was a Friday night and we did not have a reservation. We went there at 7:30 and were told we would not have a table until 8:30, which was not a problem for us. We sat in the charming bar/lounge and enjoyed a bottle of wine.

At 8:30 we sat down in the dining room which was small but did not feel cramped or over crowded. The servers were all very nice. We had the baked feta cheese appetizer which was delicious. For our entrees we had the filet mignon, I had the garlic and worcester sauce (excellent) and my boyfriend had the gorgonzola sauce. For dessert we tried the brownie and cheesecake. At the end the chef came out to see how we liked the food.

Overall, a very pleasant dining experience and the food was excellent!

Again, another fantastic occasion that was my son's christening celebration was held at The Partridge on Sunday 20th July. Matt and his team did an amazing job at feeding and watering 60 of our guests who all complemented the food, service and drink. Due to our group being rather large, Matt agreed to close for the party, work with us to develop our own menu at really, really reasonable costs. The food was absolutely faultless, he used his local ingredients....we had pulled pork rolls with crackling (which was amazing), apple sauce, and a selection of salads.
We are regulars to The Partridge, enjoy drinks, Sunday lunch, the main menu and the new Bar menu - Matt and his team put all their effort, skill and passion into their food, produce and delivery.
Thank you again so much for such a perfect day.... We will, of course, be back!
