Maybe the best B&B we've visited in the UK. Beautiful house, great location, very comfortable room, outstanding breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and a great help planning everything from local walks to excellent local restaurants and pubs. It was a perfect weekend and we're looking forward to going back.

We have been staying at Burnville farm since they first opened in 2005 and it is still a huge treat.
It really seems to get better every time we stay.
Even in the dreariest of winter it is a delight to enjoy the roaring fires and warm welcome from Victoria and Tim.
It is a REAL farm with sheep and cattle and stupendous views across Dartmoor. The house is a magnificent Georgian pile with large rooms and a wonderful atmosphere.
The bedroom are luxuriously appointed with beautiful fabrics and very comfortable huge beds and excellent bathrooms with very posh toiletries etc.
If Burnville was a restaurant it would be well reviewed in the Good Food Guide.
WONDERFUL breakfasts...and if you have dinner there (fantastic value!!) you realise quite what a brilliant cook Victoria is.
It is hard to see what else could be done to make this place any better!!

A superb old house with oodles of character.
We were only here for a night but were made to feel very important by our hostess.
The room was large and comfortable and the sherry provided was appreciated!
Would happily stay here again.

Cannot agree more with the praise others have given. Warm welcome, coffee and cakes on arrival , breathtaking setting , beautiful room and bed , delicious breakfast. I hereby award you 3 Michelin stars. Very good file of local info in the room . The Dartmoor Inn nearby , strongly recommended by owners and how right they were.

As my husband and I are just setting up our own holiday business, were stayed at Burnville Farm with a slighly different outlook to previous trips away. From the minute we arrived, the hospitality that Tori and Tim offered was second to none.

We were shown our lovely room and then had a relaxing cup of tea with the most delicious brownies I've ever eaten, looking over the beautifil Dartmoor scenery. Breakfast was like that of a 5 star hotel, shame we didn't also get to sample the dinners that others have mentioned in their reviews.

The rooms are gorgeous, beds comfortable and the attention to detail evident throughout. Despite being the busiest B&B / Holiday Cottage owners we've ever met, Tori and Tim still take the time to chat to all of their guests.

Highly recommended and have set a high standard for us to follow!

Lovely B&B. Extremely welcoming and friendly owners who are very accommodating. Spacious and comfortable rooms that are perfectly presented. Amazing breakfast with gluten free options. Probably best B&B we've ever stayed in. No hesitation to recommend this to others.

My wife and I have just stayed at Burnville Farm, Brentor, Dartmoor for the weekend of 28/30 September as part of a group of 6 friends. The property is probably the best B&B we have stayed in for many a year and that includes a number of very grand US West Coast / Rockies properties too.

You know what they say about first impressions? As we drove up the drive the backdrop of moor lit by the low sun was spectacular and when I opened the car door the lovely smell the wood fire wafted in. I was completely sold and we hadn't even seen inside!

We were shown into the beautiful grand guest lounge where the logs were spitting away in the huge grate. Our party had taken all the bed rooms so sharing the lounge was not an issue but should independent guests use it, the lounge is laid out in such a clever way so as to accommodate them in any permutation of 'together' or 'separate'. One of the sofas looks out of floor-to- ceiling windows onto the beautiful moorland view whilst others face in to the fireplace.

Our bedroom was at the front of the property and enjoyed the view of the moor. It was sumptuously furnished with chairs, tables, TV, DVD player and a fridge for the wine to chill in. A decanter of sherry and glasses sat by the TV. We enjoyed the best night's sleep for ages in the gorgeous super king bed.

Breakfast is taken in a lovely dining room on a traditional long mahogany dining table. The food is beautifully cooked and presented, with some lovely extra details.

Victoria Cunnningham keeps a fine home and is a charming, helpful and accomplished host. We highly recommend the Burnville Farm and concur with the other recent reviews too.
