I was lucky enough to be recommended to this truly Italian restaurant by friends and chose it for the occasion of my 70th birthday celebrations. We were a party of 9 and I cannot fault the quality and quantity of the food served to us nor the speed with which empty wine and water bottles were replaced. The restaurant's owner, Andrea, is an accomplished chef and provided a very balanced meal for us at a fixed price per head. One of my friend's had prepared a birthday cake for me and there was no problem with this being delivered to the table by our waitress complete with a firework candle!

This is definitely a place to visit again, whatever the occasion and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This review is long overdue but the taste of the food and the pleasure we took from the meal will last for some time yet. As if the romantic setting just next to the three arches in the beautiful hilltop village of Petritoli is not enough, Andrea and his staff will provide you with a variation of courses made from local ingredients that will leave you feeling guilty that you've under paid them when you leave. Everything from the starter to the dessert, and the bottle of wine - again, locally produced was really top notch. So good that we hired him for our wedding, and he didn't let us down!

We were lucky to find a table without a reservation in this place, when we tried again (twice), the restaurant was full - and for a good reason.
This place serves the typical Italian dishes that are unique to this area, since we travelled with kids, we mainly concentrated on Anti Pasti and Pasta - they were simply delicious, I can't describe it in words.
The service was excellent, and highly considering, the prices were very reasonable, and the location was very nice, right at the entrance to the old city of Petritoli.
We followed the Trip Advisor recommendation to get there, and it certainly paid off.

This is one of those (few, very few...) places leaving you a truly outstanding food experience, and lifetime will to be back again soon.
Andrea, the owner, has a clear talent for everything should make a restaurant to stand from the crowd. He is one and it's rare these days. Divine food and wines, great taste, not one compromise on quality (but the bill always raised us another smile), a wonderful place in one of the cosiest villages in Le Marche, top local cuisine (should mention not-of-this-earth Olive Ascolane and Maccheroncini, but everything else stands out), friendly and warm and friendly atmosphere all year round -either near the fireplace or al fresco.
Don't know what else to say. Must be tried and worth a trip. No question.

Re Squarchio with it’s amazing location just inside Petritoli’s gate, the 3 Arches, is an experience worth anybody’s evening. Plan on staying for 3 hours because that’s what you’ll need. Courses served are from Le Marche's kitchen and traditions. Local wines complement the meal. Delicious! I honestly don’t think you can find a better dinner when all factors are weighed together. Friendly and charming. Highly recommended!
