Owner description: A 3 mile moderate walk along part of the South West Coast Path National Trail passing through an enchanted landscape of rocky spires and jumbled pinnacles to the mouth of the Salcombe estuary, with inspiring views in all directions, this is a coastal walk guaranteed to lift the spirits.

The views are outstanding, some of the paths a little difficult but well maintained. overall a very relaxing experience from charming town via delightful beaches, to dramatic cliffs.

This stretch must be one of the most beautiful in the UK. The walk takes in North Sands with The Winking Prawn Restaurant (excellent) as well as South Sands with its beachside restaurant/ hotel.

Well maintained paths and much to see from every vantage point.

Also an excellent circular running route if you go through the bluebell woods (Tor Woods), the entrance being opposite Southern Mill Farm, up to the top fields, across the top path to Bolt Head and back along the lower path to South Sands.

Just take your time and enjoy the steady climb alongside the Salcombe estuary. The views across to East Portlemouth and out to sea are not to be missed. The colourful scene of yachts passing back and forth simply adds to a wonderful back drop. Take a picnic and make a leisurely day of it.

Pretty good cliff path not the best if you have vertigo! reasonably well maintained and those amazing sea views all year round - best out of season when it's quiet.
