We stayed at Glewstone Court for just one night, for my birthday and what a treat it was! From the moment we arrived ( Ding donging the bell of the 1820 Regency mansion!) the welcome was warm and extremely hospitable. A magnificent house with open fires in all the reception rooms.Food was amazing .The lovely personal touches of a small hand made flower garden posy presented to me by Bill the host with my pre dinner wine and a card on our dinner table was just lovely. For a fleeting moment when i came down the stairs in the morning to see someone cleaning the open fire i thought i was in Downton Abbey! Minus the beautiful dress of course....Thank you to Bill, Marlene & the rest of your staff. We hope Bill junior makes a speedy recovery.

Recently stayed at glewstone court for a short get away, it was a well presented hotel with beautiful surroundings.the staff we're very helpful and lovely rooms with open log fires in the public areas. We ate both nights and couldn't fault the food in any way it was all well presented and beautifully cooked. Outstanding desserts both nights loved the chocolate textures and the ravioli was a stroke of genius!!! Definitely recommend to all friends and family and will visit again!!

We were thrilled to receive such a positive review from you; special offers can be such a disappointment- we personally have taken some up and have received less than perfect accommodation, service and food- almost made to feel that we were second best customers because of the offer. Gladly you felt this was not the case here! Thank you

We recently booked a table for a tasting evening which involved an 8 course dining experience. The welcome was lovely and the dining room beautifully dressed (a little chilly and could have done with another log on the fire).
The soup arrived and we were not sure if it was supposed to be cold! Tasty though.. The waitress could have done with having a little more conversation and a smile and we felt like no sooner had we put the spoon down the next course arrived. The dessert arrived which we were not sure if it was supposed to be frozen and It had too much on the plate but little flavour..
The evening was value for money but too much food really for so many courses. The coffee was very hot which was lovely.
I am not sure whether I would return because it was just missing that little something.

Thank you for your recent review; you ended with the phrase 'missing that little something'; we had shockingly received the news that day that Kate's toddler son (our daughter and our event's manager here) had been admitted to Birmingham Childrens Hospital with a brain tumour. The prognosis was not good and we were all devasted. Our small team here is very close and although they were magnificent on the evening they obviously did not smile enough, thankfully the rest of our forty odd guests did not notice and we received many compliments on the whole evening including service and food. I cannot praise them highly enough.

We were here for a last minute weekend break. There was a special wine tasting dinner the first night that we joined in on and had a very convivial evening sat at a table of eight. The public rooms are grand in a country house style and very pleasant with real log fires. The rooms could use some updating but we were not bothered by that. The food was truly excellent, breakfasts and dinner, have never had such delicious venison. We will be back.

Our Wine Evenings have been running for over 25 years and are very popular with a wide range of guests as they are fun, hopefully instructional and most importantly match good wines with a great dinner.I am so glad that you enjoyed the evening and your weekend stay. Thank you.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at this beautiful country house. They really had thought of everything and the food and service was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and would like to return soon.

Room Tip: Room 3 was very comfortable and warm. Lovely home-made biscuits and fresh milk in a fridge in the h...

Before writing my review I have noticed again that there are two reviewing sites open for Glewstone court at present (this one above and also 58 reviews which is for the full name of Glewstone Court Country House Hotel & Restaurant which is better as it also shows their website and full address)
Once again my wife and I have met our friends half way at Glewstone Court for our annual lunch and as usual it was most enjoyable for the meal and the atmosphere (love the log fire and the hosts dogs).
We had the three course (£20.00) which consisted starters of two of us the whitebait, one of us leek and potato soup and myself the Autumn salad of quail's egg, avacado, sunblush tomato and rocket. For main course I and my wife had the fillet of cod ,tomato confit and vegetables and my friends both had the lasagne with salad and we followed with brioche bread and butter,Creme brulee and the winter fruits berry pavlova.
The total bill for food, wine and coffee came to £132.00.
Thank you again to the hosts for a lovely lunch and hope to see you again.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your lunch here recently- along with the log fires and Benjii and Bruno`s attention. We have had horrid wet weather lately and january is not the busiest of months so your efforts to travel here were much appreciated, we hope to welcome you all back for another reunion. Thank you
