We are touring the area in our motorhome and staying at the hollymount caravan club cl site half a mile down the road from glewstone court. Being a rainy day and arriving wet with 2 young children and a baby in a muddy pram I wasn't sure we'd be welcome. I apprehensively put my head round the door to enquire if they were still serving lunch and was met with a very warm welcome and encouraged to come in, pram and all!!

The food was good, the sloe gin & damson and the salted caramel ice creams have to be the best ice cream I have ever tasted. The waitresses were attentive and the bar and restaurant had a lovely, relaxing, homely feel.....a great way to spend a wet Wednesday afternoon, thank you!!

It was a pleasure to welcome your family on such a miserable day and I am delighted that you enjoyed both our food and atmosphere. We welcome families as you have found and generally find that visiting children are a joy- they especially like the toy box, antique Doll's House on the landing which was made by Bill's grandfather and of course our resident dogs. We hope to welcome you all back soon. Thank you

I have stayed at Glewstone Court on two occasions and it really is a little gem. Its setting is beautiful, the food wonderful and the staff always friendly.

The best way to describe the hotels decor is like staying in a family home, with memorabilia throughout and quirky delights like the children's poetry in the men's toilet. The only down side is the furniture which is very dated. Having said that it does somehow add to the charm and it should not put you off.

We are glad that you find us a little gem and that it feels like staying in a family home- this is our aim and its great that we have succeeded again. The hotel is Georgian in origins and we have tried very hard to ensure the décor and furnishings reflect the building- as you say, the furniture suits the house and adds to its charm. Our latest find is a beautiful Bergere suite in walnut and velvet which suits the hall so well, modern factory made pieces would look out of keeping and I doubt be as comfortable. Thank you

We stopped by for Sunday lunch recently on our way to the Three Choirs Vineyard (about 10 miles away) We ahd read good reveiws about the food at Glewstone....and were not disapponted.
Its a beautiful building standing in its own grounds. We had a warm welcome from the small family dog and were then greeted by a freindly membr of stafff who took our coats and offered a drink. It was a bit like going to dinner with family. We were early so it was quiet but as lunch time progressed soon became full - so I would say booking is essential.
We sat by a lovely log fire for a drink whilst being shown the menu....and were then taken through to the dining room.
Food - good amount of choice and reaonably priced but the quality was EXCELLENT - very home cooked and fresh. I had the beef and my husband the lamb and we both agreed it was succulent and plenty of it. My only slight criticism (very minor) was when it came to the desserts - I asked if they were home made as there was a particular favourite of mine that I have found to be not brilliant if its mass produced or bought in. I was told all desserts were freshly prepared...so I wrongly (as I found out) took that to mean home made - which it wasnt.
Overall we had a really nice experience and a definite for return.....oh and they welcome dogs (restaurant excl.) which is a real bonus for a dog owner.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your recent Sunday lunch here; this is undoubtedly a very British tradition and as you remarked a busy time for us. We take great care in offering great, freshly prepared food so we are perplexed at your comment about your pudding- all our food is made here, barring the fabulous ice-cream which is made by Just Rachel's at Ledbury and acknowledged as such on the menu.
We do hope to welcome you back soon. Thank you

My husband and I have just returned to Australia after our recent wedding celebrations in Glewstone Court. We had such a wonderful time in this beautiful place and thank you so much for all of your efforts in making our party a complete success from beginning to end. The atmosphere, staff, food, location (and pets!) helped make many warm memories and we would recommend Glewstone Court to anyone lucky enough to stumble upon it as an option. Thank you again, we hope to be back again someday.

We really enjoyed hosting your recent wedding; it is often difficult to give these occasions the special touch- especially when organising them long- distance, but judging from all the compliments we have received from your party we seem to have done well. It was an honour to be part of such a special occasion, Thank you.

I stayed here prior to a local business meeting the following day. This is a lovely hotel with a great atmosphere where the owner and his wife clearly care about their house and their customers. My room was clean and tidy and everything worked, the bed was comfortable and despite facing the local road, only one vehicle passed by throughout the night! The sitting room has lovely comfortable armchairs and the food at dinner was delicious (despite the fact that there was a full house on a Tuesday night) and was better than that at many so-called upmarket restaurants. This is a very very good comfortable hotel which is properly run and has a lovely view out over the Cherry orchard. Outstanding! Well done! it is a pleasure to be in a position to write a review like this.

From the moment I entered the hotel to leaving the following morning I was very much made to feel welcome. Bill the owner was great and the rest of the staff very friendly and helpful. The evening meal comprised one if the best steaks I have eaten and credit goes to the team for sourcing local and seasonal produce. The wine list was carefully chosen and I would really like to come back for one of the wine tasting evenings with my wife. Finally, the cooked breakfast did not disappoint. Hopefully be back soon!

Thank you so much for posting such a great review; the comments that you made regarding the sourcing of the seasonal produce that we serve were much appreciated- not only is it simply the best but we do like to promote and help our local farmers and suppliers. Thank you

Stayed for two days to "repeat" a wedding celebration of a cousin who is in Australia.
Two days of pampered permanence: good for families and for anyone wanting to get away from it all.
Both formal and down to earth (we had a black tie evening). It's family run so it is flexible on anything and is super fast in responding to requests.
Having tow kids and attending the black tie event, meant we needed baby sitting (for peace of mind, more than anything else, as the rooms are on top of the common rooms): we had a wonderful baby sitter set up by the owners.
Good food, good drinks. Comfortable and easily warmed up rooms.

We so enjoyed your families wedding celebration; to be part of such a happy occasion makes up for the odd, less convivial guest. Your review makes mention of good food, service and pampering. Thank you
