We made the mistake of booking into a riverside pub in Ross, but found it was the worst place we have ever visited in our many years of walking holidays. Andy and Beth at Radcliffe House came to our rescue and we enjoyed one of the best and most friendly B&B's we have ever used. Wonderful breakfasts and homely atmosphere made it a joy to be there, and the guest sitting rom was a bonus. Very comfortable and spacious bedrooms and everwhere spotlessly clean and tidy. What a splendid example to set for others.

Friendly, smart, clean, tidy and very good value B & B in the centre of Ross-on-Wye.Bright and well equiped room with TV and tea making facility and a range of biscuits.Excellent choice for breakfast, comparable with four star hotels with the added difference of hot breakfast being home cooked.
The owners are very welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful. Thank you Beth.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room

My Wife and I took my Father away to Ross on Wye for his 83rd birthday as this is the area he was born and still has some family in the area.
On arrival we were warmly greeted by Beth and Andy and taken directly to our rooms,
which were very good (chocolates and sweets in a bowl).
It is a very short walk to the town and the River and a good pub approx 50yds away ,dont worry, no noisy drinkers late at night.
Breakfast was v good even if it was served between 8 and 9 am.
We would reccomend this guest house to anyone.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms river view.

My partner and I stayed in Room 1 for 2 nights and the owners were very welcoming. The view from the bedroom window over the River Wye was fabulous and really made the stay. The breakfast selection was spot on with cereals and fresh fruit followed by your choice of cooked breakfast. It's in a fab location because you are in walking distance to all the town's shops/restaurants/pubs as well as to lovely walks along the river Wye.
I would certainly return for the great view and hospitality.

Room Tip: Room One has fab views
