Premier Inn Ross-On-Wye Hotel

We chose this Premier Inn as a base for touring the area. You know what to expect from the Premier Inn chain and we weren't disappointed. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and comfortable. The views from the hotel were beautiful. The Breakfasts were good and the dinners fine, although booking is highly recommended as it gets very busy. The hotel was ideal for touring the area.
Downsides : The rooms were very hot. 2 fans were provided which helped but they were still rather hot.
We did find it difficult to park outside the hotel, which seemed strange as we had two rooms and only one car. However, we were able to park by the restaurant.
Despite these small niggles, we would happily return to this Premier Inn in the future.

When i arrived in my room, the window had been left open and i had spiders and flies in my room, the first were got rid of by the receptionist, who was very understanding of my phobia. Even though the window was not shut, the flies appeared from no where at night time and i woke up with three bites on my leg, from an unknown source and suffered with hayfever, due to the window being left open. The door stops in the bathroom are poorly located on the floor and are a health and safety hazard, as my foot well knows. Enough moaning now, the staff were helpful and pleasant and answered all my questions. The pub next door needs a serious face lift and seems to be quite run down, the food was nice, but they couldn't get my order right after asking for two special requests. I have stayed in better Premier Inns.

we used Ross on Wye as a stop off point on route to Mid Wales. This proved to be a good choice as the Premier Inn was one of the best Premier experiences we have had. Whilst retired I am hard to please but understanding. Ross was a very good experience, and as a result i shall be using Ross on the occasions I visit Mid Wales as a stop off in the future

Great hotel, convenient location, good quality rooms & good breakfasts.
But the rooms don't have air conditioning. Fans are provided but this isn't enough. My room reached 26degC at night! and the daytime temperature had only hit the low 20s.
I would recommend this hotel for spring, autumn and winter. But AVOID in the summer.

Same old story I'm afraid... great place, immaculate room.. welcoming staff but the room was too warm. Two fans were supplied but all they do is blow warm air around, they don't cool it. Some customers may like that but not this one I'm afraid

Stayed at Ross on Wye Premier Inn, over night. Staff, cleanliness, car parking were excellent. Had breakfast in Beefeater(adjoining) So much choice & plenty of it. Staff told us half an hour before the closing time, so you could refill your plates, tea, coffee or soft drinks if needed.

In many respects this is a textbook Premier Inn: clean, well-run, well-organised, good value, contains everything you'll need. Indeed, on Saturday lunchtime the woman running reception really went beyond the call of duty in helping us find a cab, so thank you to her! However, our room - 128 I think - had totally ineffective curtains that let beams of sunlight in from 5am in the morning, lighting and heating the room to the point where it was very difficult to sleep. This was a real disappointment given the company's assurances of a 'good night's sleep'.

We ate in the Beefeater on the premises, which was perfectly fine though the service was on the slow side.

Anyway, window stuff aside, if you need cheap, clean accommodation in Ross-on-Wye, you'll be able to do a lot worse than this Premier Inn.
