A small but amazing little castle, restored by the current owners. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, but only open on certain days in season, so check before visiting.

Visited on the last day of the season. The castle and gardens are really really lovely, picturesque and beautiful. The refurb'd tower worth visiting alone. The scents from all the roses just heighten the sensory delight.
Wonderful cakes and tea, and greeted by a really well informed guide.

Will be back next season.

This is well-worth searching for just off the Wilton roundabout. The old ruined part of the castle, smothered in roses, is a wonderful sight and the views over the river to Ross are second to none. The enclosed courtyard is a great place for lovely tea and cakes. Ask about the history of the castle and its restoration by the current owners - you won't be disappointed

A truly wonderful setting beside the river Wye in Ross on Wye. Afternoon teas are served in the beautiful gardens that surround the castle at certain times of the year. You may also be lucky enough to experience a concert whilst visiting!

We found this slightly tricky to find, but ever so glad we did. My husband, 8 yr old son and I spent nearly two hours exploring the magnificent gardens and interesting ruins. It's a perfect spot to soak up the sun, let the children play and have very good tea and cake. The owner was superbly informative and have me some handy gardening tips! We have found a Sunday afternoon favourite.
