We called in this Wetherspoons pub for a quick drink at lunch. Very pleasant main bar and the usual range of real ale. The food been served looked of a good quality.

This is one of my favourite weatherspoons being well run kept clean even though it is very busy. Drinks are good value and well kept. Food is quick and ours arrivedo hot which is a pry for a lot of others in the chain.

We've eaten in many "Spoons" over the last few years, and this is one of the best. In the evening you can park free right outside on the main road. We had the salmon salad - which I think is a new dish they offer. It was very good with lots of flaked poached salmon. (One of their meal plus drink deals.) The place is bright and airy, and the service was very good. We recommend The Mail Rooms.

Too many young and poorly performing staff; plus the food.

On ordering a young girl was behind the bar, she did not know what beer or ciders she was selling, and when she got help to find out, she could not operate the till and had to then get help with that.
While awaiting the food, noticed a young man on the floor delivering food and cleaning up, he was cleaning a table and removed a coffee mug and placed it on the floor while cleaning, then left it on the floor and walked away. Several minutes later a customer picked it up and placed it on the table to prevent another customer from stepping on it.
The food, as usual (unfortunately) had the problem of being under temperature and which had to be returned, all too often this is seen in The Mail Rooms.
