“Good and Relaxing”
Reviewed 24 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Mrs.Carol was the main character of our visit. The apartment itself was good and very clean . It was really nice. And even if there was somthing not good with the apartment, the hostess, Carol, will make feel very welcome that you will feel very comfortable with that alone. She is very nice, not like a person being paid nice. Carol will help you with everything you need. You can depend on it and book this nice apartment now.

“Fantastic Stay”
Reviewed 18 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful, quite location. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed, with a spacious living room, bedroom & kitchen. Waking up to silence and open fields is a rare treat. It's the perfect place to escape the shackles of city life and unwind.

It was our first visit to the Wye Valley and the whole area is stunning, with plenty to do. We went to walk and walk we did.

Carol & Barry are a lovely couple who are there if you need them, but otherwise give you space, which is just the way most people would want it.

We will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

“Perfect hideaway for a relaxing break”

The location of this property was excellent. We were surrounded by beautiful scenery, off the beaten track. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, with all the facilities needed for a successful break. The hosts, Carol and Barry, were extremely friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive.

There is lots to see in the local area and the scenery is stunning.

Overall we had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

“Our fifth stay here - we love the location, the accommodation and the warm, friendly, helpful and un-intrusive hosts.”
Reviewed 8 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

The Roost is situated in a very peaceful, rural area; perfect for walking and also very accessible for visiting a number of towns, villages and attractions. The accommodation is immaculately clean, well equipped, cosy and has beautiful views from every window. Carol and Barry the lovely hosts are nearby but not at all intrusive, and do everything possible to ensure guests are comfortable and have all they need. We highly recommend, and will definitely continue to keep going back.

“Enchanting escape”
Reviewed 11 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The Roost is an enchanting escape from the chaos of everyday life. It's set in fabulous countryside with lovely walks, places of interest, pubs and restaurants all around. What made it even more perfect was the wonderfully warm welcome from the charming hosts who have thought of everything in this light and cosy flat. We definitely recommend it and will be back!!

“Fantastic hosts, brilliant location”
Reviewed 17 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Perfect place to get away from everyday life. The location of the Roost is brilliant, far enough away from the nearby towns and villages to be very peaceful, close enough that a 10 minute car ride will get you to shops and tourist attractions. Kitchen is brilliantly equipped, spacious living room and plenty of storage space. We throughly enjoyed our stay, made all the better by Carol and Barry, our wonderful hosts. The local area is beautiful, great for short and longer walks. The nearby Goodrich Castle, Butterfly Museum, Birds of Prey Centre (Newent), Clearwell Caves, and further afield Tintern Abbey and Chepstow Castle all worth a visit. Stacks of information at the apartment, many more places that could be explored. Would definitely recommend staying here.
