“A perfect get away holiday for two.”
Reviewed 17 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The Roost is in a beautiful, peaceful, location for a 'get away from it all' holiday. A great location for walks, sight seeing in the Wye Valley or visiting the nearby towns of Ross and Monmouth. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. We felt right at home and had a great time. Thanks to Carol and Barry.

“Delightful peaceful retreat.”
Reviewed 15 October 2017 for a stay in August 2017

I have just heard from Carol that my original review had not been received. Carol said not to worry about writing another one, however my partner and I were extremely pleased with our find, and I would certainly like to review our lovely weeks stay at The Roost. A delightful peaceful retreat with woodland behind, views, tranquillity, lots to see and do nearby and hosts on hand if needed. The accommodation was as described with all that you need for a stress free break. Fairly steep steps to the 1st floor accommodation so I wouldn't recommend this for anyone that has an issue with steep steps. We always looked forward to 'getting home' after our day out. Thanks Carol and Barry.

“Honeymoon heaven. ”
Reviewed 7 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

After getting married we decided to stay in our country to honeymoon. What a choice it was! The roost is absolutely brilliant! Immaculately clean, super chilled & has wifi! Bonus! Waking up to the peaceful countryside was amazing. We had everything we needed and more! Cannot thank Carol & Barry for their hosting, to make our honeymoon so special! Complimentary wine was also given to us which was amazing - Barry's own home brew! Fresh flowers were also placed for us. A home from home really! I would deffo recommend this place! Do it, you won't be disappointed!

“What a find!”
Reviewed 19 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

My wife and I stayed three days at The Roost. The property is immaculately kept, with all the items you could possibly need (and I mean ALL).

It's in a beautiful and secluded part of the world. Carol and Barry are so easy to get on with, leaving you to enjoy your visit, but on hand to answer any queries you might have.

We'd definitely go back.

“Best of England”
Reviewed 4 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We had a great week in very fine accommodation. Easy access to many of the towns on the Marches. We enjoyed Cathedrals, Castles, Forests, stunning views and beautiful country lanes. A restful and well-equipped location that we would recommend to others.

“We had such a lovely 4 days at the Roost & would recommend bit wholeheartedly.”
Reviewed 2 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The Roost is a lovely place for a break in beautiful surroundings & so quiet & peaceful. The apartment is very spacious & comfortable. Carol & Barry were great hosts ensuring that we were happy with everything but also leaving us to our space with a very welcome bottle of wine, a lovely gesture. We enjoyed great weather, excellent walking & lovely countryside. Cannot fault the Roost & will return again. Thanks Carol & Barry.x

“Fantastic accommodation, great location, lovely people!”
Reviewed 29 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Stayed for a couple of days exploring the immediate woodland surroundings with lots of walks nearby. Ventured out to picture postcard Monmouth to do a bit of shopping. Ate a delicious meal at the Saracens Head at Symonds Yat. Spent a peaceful couple of nights under the trees at the Roost with the birds singing away until nightfall. Really beautiful, relaxing break. Thanks Carol and Barry xx
