Have just returned from a few days in Ross on Wye, an area never visited before. We really enjoyed our visit to the area and the icing on the cake was our stay at The Bridge House. Darren and Elena could not have been more welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless. The cooked breakfast looked beautiful, the cereal and fresh fruit gave a good start to the day. Being able to sit in the garden in the sun, with a cup of coffee, piece of cake or biscuits at the end of a busy day sightseeing was very welcome. There had been comments about road noise, we found no problem and certainly did not disturb us. We live in a very quiet area where there is very little noise at night.

Room Tip: Room 4 spacious with an excellent ensuite.

This is a lovely renovated house with beautifully decorated spacious rooms and excellent common facilities downstairs. The owner is charming friendly and helpful. Touches such as coffee and cake on arrival help create a really pleasant experience. Breakfast was first class with gourmet sausage and great bacon. Plenty of parking, a pub just over the road and a 10 minute walk into the town. Highly recommended.

We were made very welcome by charming Darren and Elena to their lovely, enviable home where we spent two very comfortable nights. Breakfast was perfect. On top of all of this Darren kindly rescued us when our taxi failed to turn up! We couldn't recommend them more.

Stayed here for just one night, but would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Ross. Great location on a bend in the Wye, with views of the river and the castle. One of the most stylish bed and breakfast I have stayed at, with an incredible and tasteful design element. Room 5 is fantastic, in the 'quiet' part of the house, Darren and Elena a very warm and welcoming, and work hard. The only slight thing I could possibly find fault on is the breakfast is fried rather than grilled. Well Done!

We were two mature couples and I was the only one of the four of us with any complaint about the Bridge House due to my extreme sensitivity to noise. Darren and Elena were very welcoming and have renovated the Bridge House to a perfect standard. They served an excellent breakfast and gave us a very good recommendation for dinner. The only drawback to the Bridge House (for me) is its location next to the road that connects Ross-On-Wye with Wilton. Although the road is just two lanes and traffic keeps to 30 mph, it is fairly busy between 8 am and 9 pm, with an occasional car or lorry in the off hours. If you are highly noise-sensitive, as I am, you may want to bring ear plugs. For normal people, the road noise is well muffled by brand new windows, and the other three members of our party reported excellent sleeps in what are superbly comfortable beds.

Room Tip: If you are noise-sensitive, ask for a room away from the road.

We stayed for 3 nights in room 5, which had a lovely view of the river.
We were welcomed by Darren who offered us tea and carrot cake.
Breakfast was excellent and consisted of delicious local produce.
The location was ideal for exploring the local area. We visited National Trust properties nearby.
Darren and Elena were excellent hosts, friendly and helpful.
Would happily stay there again.
